Everything looks good to me for 55k miles and lots of towing in the heat. As they said the higher copper and tin is likely from being original fill and having the trans break in. Thank you for taking the time to do this!

Thank you for doing this , Toyota recommends servicing trans at 60k when towing which seems to be right based on the oil analysis Results.

Great data point, thanks for making the effort. I understand people's concerns, but I have to laugh when I read about someone being giddy about spending a grand and getting a trans fluid cooler that should have been included with the tow package. Time will tell.

And now we have the data that explains why the transmission is sealed. No exposure to fresh atmosphere during thermal loading means vastly fewer oxygen molecules... hence the .2% insoluble content in spite of severe duty.

I'm giddy, my cooler goes in today. Should Toyota have put one in, maybe, do I care, a little. Protecting my investment = priceless.

The cockles of my heart hath been warméd.

I decree that yon chemical assay report does indeed constitute that evidence, most solid and igneous of character.

Place the report upon the Shrine of Proof so that we may worship freely.

It’s a working relationship and constantly in a state of flux. Much like this debate and its endless pit of sorrow. Think of me as the Mountain in Game of Thrones and @hagrid as the King.

Anybody out there with a 2018 Tundra that has the tow package also installed Nick’s transmission cooler?

I added another cooler inline on my 2010. But that truck had trans problems. First trans went out just under 60k, then second one at about 110k after I traded it in. It did help and I also added a filter at the cooler.

I removing my cooler which keeps transmission pinned between 188F and 195F. Hauling RV from Houston to San Antonio no fun with it. Texas speed limit 75mph on I-10W. It would have been much more entertaining rolling through hill country with transmission hopping around 250F waiting for high temp light to come on. I Printed out blackstone report, put on center console, when light come on I know fluid good.......

Probably coincidence but never ever in my life on all my forums (super duty, corvette, miata, tundra) have i ever seen a bad Blackstone report. never ever, not saying their not accurate but lubricants are incredibly durable these days!!!

In end Tundra with or without cooler warranted, if you have bills do not install cooler, if you don't do what makes you feel good. I feel good with cooler, lol.

If protecting your investment = priceless, what does voiding your warranty towards any future transmission issue by adding a part that has ZERO proof of being needed =?

"Lubricants are incredibly durable these days". Huh, it's almost like the engineers at Toyota realized this as well when they made their decision that an external cooler was not needed.

Who says my warranty is void? Following your line of thinking, there is ZERO proof it isn't needed. Thanks of your input and if I do experience an issue down the line, I'll be sure to let you know so you can stick your tongue out at me and go nah nah nah !
