    I randomly found some info on BITOG forum regarding our transfer case oil spec. I’m sharing this here because too many people (including dealership service managers) say that they just put 75w90 in their TC even when it calls for 75W. 75W is not shorthand for 75w90. Read user btanchors’ posts starting on page two of this thread, post #31. It appears that 75w90 is 3-4x as thick as 75w at operating temp.

    Whether you use OEM or Ravenol 75w appears to be inconsequential (as @Sumo91’s UOA showed in post #50). Just make sure you put 75W, not 75w90, in your 2014+ Tundra.
