It was $160 after tax and shipping for all 4. But I also got them in Black Valve Stems, that added $10 to each TPMS

Hey guys I have a 2019 sr5 oem steel wheel with key to start and I’m going to be putting on alloy wheels. I think I should be buying the 42607-0C091 set for my alloy wheels. Is that correct??

Quick question for the group…I put the black OR wheels from my totaled 17 on my new to me 19. Took it to Discount Tire to see if they could do the TPMS sensor reprogram. I was told that because the sensors are off a 17 and are now on a 19 that it wouldn’t work. Does that sound right? So I asked my buddy at the shop down the street from me and he said it shouldn’t be a problem so he’s gonna try it for me. If that doesn’t work, can I just swap sensors from the Sport wheels that came with the truck onto the wheels that I put on?

I know the 2020 is different due to a different mhz and additional number in the sensor ID. The 17's may work in the '19. If not, the sensors that came with the truck should work since they are going from alloy wheel to alloy wheel.

Ok thanks! Dumb question, but does it matter that the sport wheels are 20” and the OR wheels are 18”?

My apologies for bringing this back. But i need some advice. i am looking to purchase a 2021 platinum with push to start, but it came with aftermarket wheels. The tpms light is, of course, flashing. This tells me the aftermarket wheels does not have tpms sensors installed..
When i put the vin into toyota part catalogue, it gave me this part number:
    42607-0C101
How can i find out what sensors is correct for my truck?
Can the new sensors be use on aftermarket wheels or oem 20” alloy only?

    Thank you

When it comes to sensors, there are 2 types...one for steel wheels, and one for alloy. The difference is the angle of the sensor. As long as you have the sensor that fits an alloy wheel, it can be used in any OEM or aftermarket alloy wheel. You will need OEM sensors from Toyota. The 2020 and newer does not like aftermarket sensors. The parts department can verify that part number by the VIN.

I finally called 4 dealership. 1 said they dont give out part number, which is BS. 1 gave me 42607-02053. The last 2 gave me, 42607-02050.
so i believe the correct part number for my 2021 platinum is 42607-02050.

My TPMS light has been on for a while but I knew the pressure in my tires was good. I rotated the tires the other day and the light went away. No idea how/why that happened but I ain't mad at it. :1up:

For what it's worth, I just installed Denso sensors (purchased from Rock Auto) in my new FN Fx Pros. When I put the Fx Pros on the truck, I followed the instructions to reinitialize the TPMS and the truck automatically detected the Denso sensors after about 20 min of continuous driving. 2021 Limited CM.

I went ahead and purchased 4 with black valve stem from tpms.com after getting the oem part number. Then finds out the wheels i ordered is on Backorder. 1-3months nationwide. Yay me. Im hoping the one from tpms.com wont give me issue later when i finally get my wheels in.

Keep us posted to how these work and if the light comes back on. This may be a great option. Thanks for the info!

WOW, I am so confused after reading all of this. I have a 2020 (PushButton) limited with alloy wheels. I recently purchased some Methods MR315's and need to purchase some new TPMS sensors. After reading through the posts I thought I needed part #42607-06030 but now I am not sure. Was trying to go aftermarket as Toyota has them listed on their site for $104 (https://autoparts.toyota.com/products/product/valve-sub-assy-tire-4260706030#popup-1), not sure if this is for 1 or all 4. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You should do what i did and call a bunch of dealership around and get the actual part number off of your vin. Then you can order them from online or through the local dealership. That’s a safe bet to know they are correct part for your truck. Dont guess. Call and confirm for sure.

It is EXTREMELY confusing. I do not want to vouch for the correct part numbers because you never know. They vary by model, electric start, wheels and most likely color! The suggestion of @BrandonL812 to check a few dealers is a good idea.
I have a 2020 Platinum (push button) and purchased the wrong sensors (42607-0c091). The correct ones for my truck (I am told) are 42607-06030 that are $71.75 each. https://autoparts.lewistoyota.com/search?search_query=4260706030 Wait for a Toyota parts sale and get 15-25% off.
I do not think that the aftermarket sensors play well with the system. GOOD LUCK

It's been several hundred miles so far and no issues with the Denso 5500118 sensors. The pressures read accurately and are displaying on the MFD just fine.

Just to update this. I went with the sensors from Tpms.com for my 2021 PTS. Shop installed and did the relearn with their scanner and the tpms light is now off. Gauge showing psi again on all 4.

    part number i used: oem - 42607-02050
    Tpms sensor: UVST6T17R-TOYOTA
Toyota Huf IntelliSens TPMS Sensor 42607-02050 42607-12010 315MHz
[Valve Stem Option (SCH):Black Metal Valv

Just be aware, they have terrible after sale customer support. I had one DOA sensor. After email with 2 respond they ghosted me. I called 3 days later and was told they will send a new replacement. A week go by and nothing. I send 2 more emails and still no respond. I ended up buying another sensor from them and it was shipped out a day later.
So basically they dont give any support if you received a dead sensor. BUT, you can buy another and it will get shipped out right away.

I recently put new aftermarket allow wheels on my 2010. I talked to local OK Tire guy here in BC. The TPMS sensor light
has been flashing for a while. I found a set on Amazon.ca that stated they worked for 2007-2013 Tundra, about $47 or something.
Took them to Tim @ Ok, he took out his Autel, scanned them and said they'd be fine. After they were installed
it took about 3-4 minutes for the reader to identify and code them in to the truck. I drove away with the TPMS light
flashing, by the time I pulled onto the highway the light was out. Haven't seen it since.
His other advice is that once a light starts to flash, generally the battery has died. Don't waste around just order
a new set and have them installed. I don't have sensor installed in the spare. I just inspected it before next weeks road trip,
    stock valve stem.

The 2020 and 2021 are picky on sensors. I was glad the ones i got was fine. Hopefully it will be trouble free from here on out. Will report back if any issue arrives.

I've been having issues with my 2018 platinum. It does not even show anything on the display in middle of the gauge cluster. I have tried the re-learn/initialize process but still does not work. I even removed the LED bulbs I had in the dome light bc I read that they could interfere with it. I am at a lost and just gave up. Do you guys have a part# that work for the 2018 model?

I am not sure, I bought the truck used with aftermarket wheels on it. I think I remember seeing it display in the cluster when I first got it but now there is nothing. I plan to get new wheels soon so I'll probably have to get new sensors also.

Go to your local tires shop and have them scan each wheel. See if anything shows up. Then you’ll know if there are anything in there.
