Or that you’re gonna part ways with a vehicle over a $200 battery that’s 3 years old!

You failed to notice a crushed battery at signing? And then failed to look under the hood for 3 yrs?
How does the dealer know for a fact that you didn't tighten the clamp?

Didn't notice the other two questions in my post either. No big deal, just an observation.

I slap on some 12AH M18’s when I know things are about to get serious… Then I flip the Ugga-dugga switch to “ALL” and say to myself, ‘Let’s do this!’

Wait, is this thread for real? I thought it was a parody, but I’m starting to think somebody really is up in arms about a battery.

The truck is obviously a lemon. You should be more sympathetic about OP’s maintenance problem on an almost 4 year old truck. Sheesh.

The issue wasn't obvious until after I topped off the battery last year.

Very happy with my Interstate MTP 27F.
Maybe hit @Coupe up for a better hold-down bracket..

Nope. Just a gamer tag I came up with in college that stuck. Engineer though.

JCI/Clarios batteries are known for being leakers, and those batteries are typically what Toyota used with our trucks.

Clean up the battery and terminals, or replace the battery and clean up the terminals, and worry about something else.

The oiled felt washers for battery terminals are a good addition.

My 2019 leaked so bad after the first year that I had to replace the positive clamp. $15 and some clean up.

I found the factory terminals to be of rather questionable quality. When mine were eaten by the battery I just removed them and put higher quality replacements on.

As a man a principle. Sure. Why not. But if they're not willing to cover a $200 item, why would I believe they'll cover something real?

Yes; just take a look at the spine of any book for confirmation of this wisdom...

In similar fashion to how we consistently read from left to right, any time a word or combination of words is to be viewed vertically, it is 'normal' for the word(s) to be displayed in a top to bottom fashion :hattip:
