    Hello

    I am Coupe.

I have been on XRU & TacomaWorld for several years.

I have been selling the TRD battery hold downs for the Tacomas on Tacomaword since 2012. Here is the link there: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fs-trd-battery-hold-downs.250615/

I offer these in two basic versions. A Wide & a Narrow FIXED width. I have started making these in ADJUSTABLE width versions.

    NBTRDbatthold005_1c27d0e2b7ec324523eeac922888c23c0f98e00f.jpg

Other than the width, there are no differences.

The Wide is 1" in the middle and the Narrow is 11/16".

    NBTRDbatthold009_479df0a8eacd0a862b62f35a57e4f4aac67bdf80.jpg

    These are the basic dimensions.

The area on the bottom of the hold down is 7" across. Older versions are 7 1/8". I recently made the change to grip the battery a little better. I still have a few of the 7 1/8" version in stock.

This is a pic of a narrow raw aluminum version.

    TRD%20batt2%20008_zps3m7o8oia_de4ac80fb901e5f2a0365b6d9060d47b185ae5aa.jpg
Upon special request, I can paint the TRD letters with a contrasting paint on the billet aluminum ones. This is usually a red or a black.

Here are a few in powdercoated colors:
    TRD%20batt2%20002_zpsqip9btym_a3120e75274142e6408d2671adacc06697c0a070.jpg

My favorite a textured black powdercoat with red letters.

Over the past few years with help from the members of Tundras I have been making ADJUSTABLE width battery hold downs. These have become very popular, so I am discontinuing making the FIXED width versions.

The adjustable models have adjustable jaws on the lower side that can be adjusted to fit snuggly up against the battery sides. These adjust to a minimum of 6" to a maximum of 7".

This is a solid model of the lower side of an adjustable narrow version.

This pics shows a comparison of the wide version on top with the narrow version on bottom. These are Army green with gloss red TRD.

    DSC00530_f2b7619a7016c7466731ec9d150c1153c56b73e5.jpg

Pricing for the ADJUSTABLE width versions, narrow or wide are $85 + shipping. Raw aluminum versions with no coatings are $65 + shipping.

I have a public service announcement.

I have had a few people on TW, report that have had non-sealed batteries leak a little around the fill caps. If the acid leaks, it will attack the aluminum in the hold down. If you have a sealed battery, this is not a problem. While there have been a few instances of people with this problem, there are a lot of people that have conventional, non-sealed batteries that use these battery hold downs without an issue. Since there have been a few instances, I am warning people that do not have sealed batteries.

If I was considering one of these for purchase, I might co-ordinate this with a sealed battery upgrade.

Those are sweet! Assuming these would fit on the 3rd gen Tundra as well? Or are you just teasing us Tundra owners with Tacoma products?

Finally got it installed the other day. Looks awesome. Thank you @Coupe for a great product.
The aluminum is very rigid and holds the battery firmly in place. This battery isn't going to move at all.
Powder coating is well done and will keep this piece lasting a long time.
I chose the non painted TRD so i could keep to my black and grey theme. Being machined aluminum it wont rust and gives me the option in the future to fill in with whatever color i want.
    Highly recommend this product.

I am working on an adjustable model that will confirm to different battery widths.

I should have some pics up shortly after some test fitting.

    These are the prototype sketches.

Completed the install of the new bracket. It fitns nice and tight with the skinny width of the battery and the handle on one side. Definately not moving now. Great design.
Need to trim the jhooks down a bit. Dimensions provided to coupe so when others order it will be the right length.

Just realized I put it in backwards from where I had it before.

Price of the new adjustable model is $85 + shipping.

I made only a few of these. I want to judge the interest in these before making a large run.

I also have a few fixed versions. These are $75 + shipping.

    These are fixed models.
