Yep, tread depth is less also. SL rated on this size and right at the same price as the K02 in LT. I was hoping I missed it on the charts because I like the AT3.

    FWIW

    Noise still bothers me BUT

Just got a rotate and rebalance...they have fewer weights now then initial install - and ride/drive well and true.

Any update as to the noise versus the KO2s?

They are slightly louder than the BFG. Nothing that bothers me but with the radio off you can hear them.
When my BFG were new, I would slip at Pueblo boat ramp pulling my boat. I would occasionally need 4WD.
The Toyo just dragged that thing out and never lost any bite.

I moved from K02's and these AT3's seem a bit louder now that I've got a few thousand miles on them. They also ride nicer and seem better in the rain... and are also a C-rated vs the K02/E that I took off.

What tires were you on before these. I’m about to exchange my Ridge Grapplers for Toyo AT3. I actually love the ride amd quietness but curious how the Toyos ride. Discount will swap them out for me at no charge.

I moved from the Ridge Grapler to the Toyo AT3 and prefer the Toyo much more. I’m actually upgrading to a larger size so I’ll have a new set of 275/70R18 Toyo AT3 for sale very soon.

Has anyone had the Toyo open country R/T and went to the new Toyo AT3? How is the road noise compared between the two?

I came from BFG KO2 which I ran on for maybe 3 months (garbage tire) and chose these ATIII as my replacements.

Prior to that, about 22k miles on some Cooper Maxx. Those were the quietest tires I have ever owned.

Why are you having them changed out? No charge makes its sound like a warranty thing.

There is a YouTube video out there where a guy performed a decibel reading with 2 trucks coasting at 70 mph. One with the Toyo R/T and one with the Toyo M/T. The results were the same for both coming in at about 70 decibels.

I just put on the new Toyo AT3 and performed a test coasting at 70 mph. The AT3 metered at about 64-65 decibels.

As a side note, i came from Nitto Ridge Grapplers with about 55 K miles and they were roaring at almost 73 decibels.

When discussing the noise you should state whether you're on the E or C rated version, as this makes a big difference. I'm on the fence whether to go E or C.

No warranty problem. Just with in the time frame they give you to exchange if you don’t like them. Had them for a month.

They are a XL load so basically a p-rated 305/55r20 4-ply and only weigh 52 lbs. They are super smooth riding not loud at all. I’m probably just gonna stay with them. Thanks for your input though.

Mine are way quieter than the Duratracs. We’ll see how they compare after 20k.

Thanks for the info. I ask because I have the Toyo RT on my Sequoia now. They do have some roar noise and a little louder than we would like. But still more quiet for this type of tire compared to others. I have the Cooper AT3 XLT on Tundra and they are very quiet, no complaints. I might try to swap out the Toyo RT and put on some Toyo AT3.

I put the Cooper AT3 XLT and the TOYO AT3 on the same level. Due to the tread design, the Cooper is slightly quieter and the TOYO is better in the snow with a 3-peak rating.

Looking at the Toyo AT3 35x12.5/R18 in the F load. 5 of them with tire warranty mounted and balanced.

4WP quoted me $2150 out the door

Choice was D or F. More plys make a tougher tire right?

Yes but also a stiffer ride. I’d go with the D.

    Do they make a D in 285/75/18?

IMO a better size than 35x12.5

Heavier too. No reason for an F rating on a 1/2 ton pickup.

    35x12.5/R18

I also went F due to tent and chance of towing drift boat or single axle 18 foot.

So far they have less shake than my KOs.

Ok what's the better between the two on stock suspension 285/55r20 or alittle bigger 275/60r20... And for tires it either toyo at3 vs falken wildpeak at3w. The toyo at3 are about 200 more but also their 5lbs lighter than the falken 275/60r20. What do you guys think.. now I'm coming from 305/50r20 so 32 by 12in wide.

Was their a noticeable difference in height between 285/55r20 to 275/60r20 definitely going to get toyo at3 but debating on these two sizes.

I thought so, and multiple neighbors commented on the change too, saying my truck looked a bit taller.
