Well made the decision and making the leap. Getting the PPF. They start on Monday and will take about 2 weeks.

No. Knowing what shops charge for labor and the duration of the work, you are getting a great deal.

Yeah there is a lot of work. They already have done a ton on doing the PDR to remove all the hail damage and my truck looks good as new. Now this... Normally about 5-6k for something this size.

I can't wait to see what will no doubt be the source of my wife's new frustration with me for "wasting" money on my new truck. You know you are causing me real strife over here, right? haha

I was told your truck and paint should be perfect or near perfect to wrap it. So the trick is, wrap it now, keep it for 7 years, then strip it off and you'll have near new paint for the next 7 :)

I think you meant to quote @Royalpeeps my friend....

But I am with you, I thought about it myself. It looks easier to work with compared to clear paint protection film (which I have done myself) or tint, but there are a lot of curves and body pieces that I could see being difficult and very time consuming to do perfectly.

Badges were removed. And this is XPel Stealth so I would think you can buy it straight from XPel.

Yes the PPF is very difficult to work with. That's why he still has my truck. He is a perfectionist which is awesome cause he is gonna take his time and get it perfect. His issue right now is doing the section where the door handles are. This stuff isn't like vinyl where you can heat it and push it into places like this. You have to slowly work it into the section. He had one door done perfect. One of the others he didn't like how the section looked and he removed it and doing it over again.

This isn't vinyl wrap. This is XPel Stealth Paint Protection Film. Better protection than vinyl and you can still keep your paint color. The one I am having put on is the stealth. Gives it a satin look but they do have Clear.
