So getting my truck fixed up after the hail storm we had a few weeks ago. The owner of the shop does PPF (Paint Protective Film) and has a nice convertible R8 that is light gray and it has the satin PPF on it and it looks nice. So he said let's do your truck. He did half the finder to see what it would look like. What do you guys think? Should I do it?

Don't go off road driving through brush and branches. PPF won't buff out like paint will, I'm thinking.

From what I've seen the scratches will come right out with heat. It's what they call self healing. And I guess that would depend on how deep the scratches too.

I like how the satin creates smooth gradients and really accentuates the body lines. I say go for it

At first glance I thought no, but the more I look at it the more I like it. I have regular SunTek PPF on the front end of my truck and I will say it is holding up great. My question is longevity. Based on your use of the truck, do you know how long it will last? I know vinyl vehicles wrap have a certain life expectancy.

    That looks pretty rad imo.

Kind of like the thought of what I may be able to do on a cement color. Never heard of that before. If you go through with it, make sure to post up plenty of photos :)

My first thought was, "no way." But, looking at the photo, I really like it. It's unique and I think your Blue is probably the best Tundra color to do the satin on.

I struggle with the idea that a film is worth $5k. Find the right guy and you could get the entire truck painted for $5k.
