Has any one ever made your own secondary air pump relocation kit? I don’t feel like spending 400 bucks for a a couple 5/8 hose and some -an fittings.

I’m having an issue for the adapter from the pump to the hose. I’ll post a picture of a -a fitting I found that is close and the one that is provided by a company that sells the whole kit. Just seeing if the one I found online would work

This is how I did mine, and what was used.

What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

*edit* Also used the hose separators linked below to secure/attach the hoses, and zip ties.

Got the front fenders on today. I’ll do the rear on my next days off hopefully. Also my new 37s should be in on Thursday!

Just in case you haven't bought one already, I found a spot weld cutter extremely helpful. I don't have a brand to recommend but I didn't buy a cheap one.

I was thinking about doing this that way it has more structure. I’ll just do better closer to the cab of the truck I don’t like that lip

Lots of ways to skin a cat.
When cutting the top, length of the bed, I cut about 1-1,5" farther down than shown in the vid. Cutting off the fiberglass that wraps around the front of the bed at the cab is a mistake IMO. How do you finish that off and make it look good? That's one spot where the cutter is handy and the fiberglass provides plenty of strength wrapping around the corner w/o creating a huge headache for finishing/painting. Also, I did everything I could to avoid body washers on the sides of my truck. I have 5 body washers per side between the cab and front of the bed that are only visible when peering into the gap.

Yeah I don’t like how they cut the front of the fiberglass. I was going to leave that and just have it wrap around. But I’ll see more once I start to do it.

do you think leaving the metal around the tail light was a good idea?

front glass looks good. did it fit straight on or did you have to work the fiberglass a bit?

I removed the rear corners. I found it's hard/impossible to push the bedside forward far enough to line up with the tailgate and to get the cab/bed gap correct w/o removing the corner. I spent several days installing and fussing with attachment points and fitment. I have 6, 1/4-20 SS bolts on the inside lip (ea. side) of the bed instead of bolting through the top like in the video.

Got time to spend the weekend up in the mountains. Definitely excited to get a new front bumper and some front bypass shocks. The front bumper didn’t like getting hit at full bump Lmao

They are having a 15% sell, with axles and discount code its 3900 dollars pretty good price for a bolt on kit that 5inch extended more comparable to lsk’s bolt on kit

You’re not gaining anything travel wise. Again the limiting factor here is the length of the shocks and clearance you’ll have the same travel.. to really take advantage of any of these kits you need to cut a ton out of the wheel well like this picture

The farther you move the wheel out the bigger the lever. Meaning: Huge increase in stress to the shock tower and twisting motion applied to the frame. You HAVE to have a brace from tower to tower over the engine and likely tie the frame together beneath the engine. Fully caged engine bay would be better. But, that's just my thoughts, I'm certainly no expert. I have had to have my shock towers pulled back into place though and I'm only +2.5"

I may just stick with my camburg kit, I’m still enjoying it for now. I definitely will enjoy it more when I get my rearend done. if I’m sticking with camburg I’m definitely going to get the choachbuilder tie rods. Do any of y’all run those?

Truck cleaned up nice today to btw

Nope I don’t have them. If I were keeping this setup I would add them. But no urgent need I would say

Yep, I run CB tie rods and have for about 5 yrs, since the truck was MT. I recommend carrying a spare heim joint. Last trip to Baja I broke the grade 8 bolt that goes through the heim, very unusual, freak occurrence. First time Dave had ever heard of it happening.

It was sooo crazy. The hood latch broke too, metal fatigue, tail light tabs broke and fell out.
