Seeing if I can get anybody to share a couple tips of installing the camburg LT kit or help me find the right thread for it. Also more than welcome to share your tundras on this thread that have any long travel kits. I currently have king 2.5s and wanted more

I just recently bought a kit for a heck of a deal. Here’s a picture of my ride before the kit is installed. Once I have it on I’ll share some more pictures!

I see I have been summoned lol. I’ve got the Camburg kit upfront and mix of a custom kit and dirt king items on the rear. Couple things below. Also not sure on the kits condition but I would replace all the joints and bushings etc before the install and have the shocks serviced as well.

Do you have fiberglass fenders? You’ll want install those at the same time.
Did you get the kit with coilovers only or with bypasses?
Do you have any other mods upfront done? I.E. body mount chop, secondary pump intake relocated,
What size tire you planning on running?
If you have a diff drop you’ll want to remove that. It will cause the axle to rub the coilover. Alignment spec wise it’s recommended 6 to 6.5 of caster and everything else in stock specs.

Feel free to cruise my build thread if you need more info and let me know if you have questions. There’s a lot to moving into LT fyi be ready lol but it’s worth it in my opinion.

I replaced all the uniballs on the kit, along with new limit straps, I also had the kings rebuilt and new valving to be safe. I don’t have the secondary bypass shocks “yet”. I didn’t know about the secondary air pump. I’m running 35x12.50r17 with +25 offset. Will upgrade to 37s km3 or wrangler mtr with Kevlar. I need fenders still, either looking for a deal on some or going to have wait for them to be built. Does the secondary pump relocation have to be moved right away. Also I don’t have the diff dropped installed. Also the kit came with a new set of LT axles already built

Sweet it looks like you’re heading in the right direction. Secondary air pump isn’t immediate but definitely plan for is as it will rub there and get debris in it. I actually sleeved mine with a prefilter until I pieced a kit together.

If I’m correct isn’t the kit to relocate is just a -8an line with some fittings and filters that moves the filter to inside the engine bay?

Something similar yes. Myself and a few others have a parts list on it in another thread you can search and find it. Doesn’t need to be any special braided line or anything.

So my kit came with 700lb springs and also came with a spare set of eibach 600lb springs with tender springs. I never seen someone on here run a dual spring set up on the tundra unless it’s a 10+inch coilover. What do you guys think should I run the 700s or the dual rate?

700 is the correct option IMO

I agree on 700 but I’d be curious on what that 600 would be like hmm lol

I believe TC and Camburg used to spec 600lb springs but changed a couple years ago to 700.

I may take one for the team and try both of them and let y’all know. I think 600s and helpers would be good for like washbroad and daily but not for big hits

Building a LT truck is not cheap so I can understand if you're trying to save money but that cage has twice the tubing mine has. I don't know where you're located or what your budget is but there may be other options like Dirt King and Camburg I have an SS Built cage. They pretty much, at least when I got mine, only sell it along with installation

Not sure what the bed cover looks like but I’d be sure it clears etc. My cage fits under my bakflip cover which is nice for sure.

After doing some research ima have to get a different bed cover because the shock cage doesn’t leave enough room for my current one. The sacrifices you gotta make.
Also here’s a picture of the kit I bought for the front it was used but it came with new uniballs that needed to be installed, came with axles, straps, two sets of springs. I sent the coilovers to be rebuilt. Payed 3k for the kit what do you guys think was it worth the buy? D43F187E-4CAF-4C7E-84F5-794F1ED0AF3A.jpg

Definitely a good deal. I can tell they had a diff drop lol by the center rub mark on the axles.

If you don’t weld, find a good fab guy. You’re going to need him quite a bit in the future. Bet you can build a custom bed cage and clear your tonneau for not much more than the Evil.
