Axles should be fine. I’d repack the grease and shoot the shaft with some steelit

So now I’m getting ready to purchase some new parts for the truck payday is Friday, should I start on the rear or should I start ordering the front bypass setup that way when I install the front it’s all done right away? Also should I buy the 2.5s or 3.0 bypasses I’m sticking with king

I would do all front then move to the rear but that’s me. I’d confirm if a 3.0 fits before doing that. I run a 2.5 bypass. You’ll want these all valved to your truck that’s where it make a difference

Agree the valvings is what makes it worth it, only downside. is down here in Roswell,Nm there is no one close that can do it for me so I gotta learn how to or send it to someone that can try and valve it best to the ability with out having the truck

    This is from Shock Surplus?

Coilovers will definitely need to be revalved to work with a secondary shock/bypass shock when the time comes.

Yeah I asked them about shock valving and they said they are starting to do it.

that being said once I order my shock hoops I’ll be contacting you at the same time to order the bypasses from you

I guess I'm curious what this means. Wasn't aware they offered tuning services. I'd be curious to know what they came up with and how.

Fenders should be here next week. Still debating on the LT cage for the rear or shock relocation kit under the bed.

    Couple things I thought of
    LT Cage pros
Full wheel travel up to 18 inches I believe with a spring under kit.
    Progressive design/easier to tune
    CONS:
Giant holes in the bed scared of stuff falling out
Have to get a new bed cover as mine will not fit with the cage

    shock relocation kit
    PROS:
no hole in the bed minor welding and fab
Keep my roll n lock bed cover

    CONS:
Heard it’s a more digressive shock angle/harder to tune
I believe it’s only 14 inches of wheel travel
    Not as fun.

I would feel more comfortable if there was a cover that goes around the bypass shocks to seal up the holes if I go with the bed cage

Also they got back with me they said they are going to start revalving soon but not as of right now. I don’t know where their data for the valving is coming from all I know is they said they will start to do it very soon

The holes in the bed are difficult commitment but once done I've never regretted the decision. I have seen a couple examples of covers but nothing ready made and available for purchase. I would imagine a good auto upholsterer or a sail maker.....Someone could help with canvass covers. A good fab shop could probably do something in metal too, like the LSK has.

This! Any fab shop can take the time to seal it up. Just takes time and money. But as mentioned an upolostered style is an option.

I like that rear set up I got someone down here that does upholstery I’ll hit him up. I may be over thinking it. Have y’all ever had issues with the holes in the bed of the truck?

No real issues. When camping with the dogs, St Bernard and a Dane Mastiff mix, I try to pack stuff to keep them from dropping a paw in there.

You’re not going to want a tonneau cover when you’re on dirt. Everything will be covered in dust.

I was wanting it more for when I drive the truck daily. I learned that the other day. I was surveying some land I wanted to buy out of town and when I opened the cover it was fully covered in dirt

Yeah I figured. But I meant with the giant holes in your bed 10x more dust will get in there. :D

I run a tonneau cover full time unless I know I’m going out to hit some hard runs. I enjoy the cover on as it keeps everything hidden and sleeper like. My layout is slightly different in the bed now

Tires get recessed there and stand straight up. Or can be used for recovery gear, batteries etc

I found a materiel that will work good to cover up the shock holes. I gotta order some when I do the bed cage and figure out how to attach it to the bed. It’s called neoprene
