Or does or did the truck have a winch? Could be the plug for the winch controller

I did buy used, and it came originally from Canada. There are no marks or anything that show there was a winch on there, did not look for a block heater, any images I can reference to see? I was thinking it was an output, but an input would make sense too.

I seriously need to get home right now to see if I have a cupholder that pops out from the dash. There's no way I missed that for 3 years.

Why when I turn on the windshield defroster, the AC comes on to defrost the windshield even though the AC button is not enabled?

Should have the option to not have AC.

So am running AC compressor plus heater core to melt snow when winter gets here?

It can be changed via TechStream. I did that for my truck.

Yep, follow the cord. Should go to the rear driver's side of the engine block.

The compressor is only on when in defroster mode... if you change it to any other position it disengages.

Remember older vehicles used to give you two options defrost and defog. Defog was only available on ac vehicles I assume since most vehicles come with ac now we all have to use defog mode
