    It's either your blinker fluid drain, or the assist grip plug.

    I'd put money on the latter.

    It's the Bluetooth disabler. If you take it out, the Bluetooth won't work any more (though it will work a lot less, thank you Lewis Carroll).

    Do you have dual climate control or auto temp? The Silverado I had had something like it in the area above the driver seat and it was the thermostat that the auto air ran off of.. Or does it have a small hole in it anywhere could be bluetooth microphone.Just a thought

    My response was only semi-jesting. As far as I can tell, it's the microphone for the Bluetooth. If you'll notice, there's a gap around it for sound.

    It's all good, I say if you can't take a bit then go to the PMS forums lol
    My truck doesn't have bluetooth its an 08 and doesnt have auto climate either, dual temp control-yes but I don't think the mystery button has anything to do w that
    so 22 responses and no answer that's good stuff right there

    We have slightly different overhead consoles.

    Closer inspection did, however, reveal this closer to the front.

    I've been yelling at the wrong part all this time. Microphones don't pick up my voice very well.
