Beautiful work Stan! You da man! Although I think that awesome suspension would look better on my truck. ;)

Thank you sir! Vin will always get my vote. He is a great guy, and i will always strive to be as good of a business owner as him. Plus he's just a super great guy to talk to.

    Great picture. Where was that?
We definitely need to find better water crossings. There was no way @16tunterd was going to wash off his feet in the dried up creek beds we were crossing.

I spoke to him yesterday while he was on the trail. He wasn't sure whether he was in Utah or Arizona.

Now that's some wheeling. Not even sure what state you're in. We need some of that.

I wonder if we could do some cross boarder wheeling between California and Nevada.

Well, I finally am settling back into some normal life...last month has been super crazy. With our Utah Trip as well as having my boat out of the water.
But the Utah trip was amazing, only had a little bit of carnage..lost a bolt on a light on the bumper and that was it. I am going to be valving the truck soon as well as a few other things as all builds are never done. But here is a little trip report from 2400 miles of Utah, Nevada, and of course just a tad of California.
Our goal from the start was to spend as little time in Cali, as possible. Did a tone of prep to the truck, purchased an ARB Fridge before we left. Got all wiring done before i left..which all came in handy, and really glad i did it. The wife loved having the Fridge, and she said it made it worth while. The table on the tail gate also was a very large PLUS!!

So we started off super late, leaving work mid week, but we wanted to get a head start so we decided to get to Yosemite the first night. Found a quick little off grid camping site that we could stay at without paying.

Site wasn't anything special but it did the trick for the night. Again our goal was to get out of Cali, We woke up early and got on the road, our destination was Toquerville Utah, the next day. We got out of Yosemite, and dropped into Enyo, A place a really want to get back to. Loved it there! IMG_9519.jpg IMG_9529.jpg
    IMG_9543.jpg
We scooted across area 51. We did a little offroading on our way out there. but our destination was pretty far off into the sunset so we did the best we could across Nevada. A part of the state that is just down right desolate. But where we wanted to stay that night was high on our list so kept on keeping on...
    IMG_9547.jpg
IMG_9548.jpg IMG_9551.jpg The Falls ended up being our most favorite spot we stayed at.
And was an amazing place to stay for the day to swim and hang out.

The next day we decided to Hike the Narrows in Zion, which was fun but way to crowded.. which i dont have any pictures of on my phone because i took my video camera, and i wasn't that impressed with Zion.. At any rate My wife did all the research for this trip as she does a lot of things, she had a bunch of cool little places to go. After Zion, we went to Arizona, to find some Gypsum mine, that she heard about. Took a couple hours of Dirt to get here, little did we realize, there was a much quicker way to get to it.. but anyways.. she was stoked and wanted to dig her own Gypsum.. IMG_9592.jpg IMG_9594.jpg IMG_9595.jpg
Night fall was coming quick and the next leg our trip we weren't really sure what we were gonna do, I had my heart set on seeing the sunset over Lake Powell, so again we decided to jam out to Loan Rock, for the eavening. We decided to go past the Coral Sand dunes, for fun... IMG_9597.jpg IMG_9598.jpg
all the little detours really made us stoked on our camp site at the lake! I know a few places around there that are off the beaten path but Loan Rock was easy to get to and the sun was setting quick, so we stopped here and the Margaritas started flowing quickly! I grew up In Arizona, and Lake Powell is one of my favorite places there, so i was right at home.

After Powell, We decided to head into Grand Staircase Escalante, Neither of us really knew how big it was or really what we were in for. 90% of it is dirt, and most of our dirt miles were in and out of there. Granted they take care of the dirt roads better then most of California highways. so making ground out there wasn't that hard. Our goal for the day was to find a place to camp in Grand Stair Case....we decided to head up and over one of the summits, via Hells Backbone, or the Devils Backbone...which was worth the drive. That night we found the sun setting quick and we found a little lake to camp by. Again we really didnt have any of this planned out just sorta general areas to be in. The desert was to hot so we climbed Elevation out side of Boulder. And decided to stay at this little Res.. it was totally awesome fishing here, and no one else was there.

From here, we only had two days left until i needed to be at the Octane Academy out side of Salt Lake City at the Ford Training grounds. So we started to head north out side of Grand Staircase, I dont have much on my phone from this section. We moved very quickly towards Provo. we heard there was some hot springs outside of Provo we could hike to at night, and camp below them or above them. so we found a great spot to camp, then headed out to hike to the Hot springs. We then woke up the next morning and headed out of this location, we took a few wrong turns and ended up taking a very scenic way up to Park City for lunch.. IMG_9628.jpg

We had to be in Salt lake by like 6pm that day so we had lunch in Park City then cruised over to our hotel that we got outside of Salt Lake. and then off to the Octane Academy reception. This whole trip was planned around this. Earlier in the year i purchased a Focus St, when you get these they give you a two day training course on how to drive the snot of out them...so i was eager to get there and have fun with their cars. I am a fairly aggressive driver, and have always had decent talent behind the wheel of a vehicle, i have been to quite a few track days, and raced off road as well as Lemons. This class was pretty cool cause even though i have done all that, i still learned some basics i never got before, and the instructors really were able to clean up some of my driving and get me quite fast... I came in second two another local ST owner, who has many hours of track time as well. For the AUTO X event they time us, and i lost by a very little because i biffed a 180 hand brake turn pretty bad, but all in all the track was fun as well as AUTO X... From this part of the Trip we only had one day to get home...which was that Tuesday, class ended on monday at 5pm, so we got in the truck and hammered out to the Utah boarder, right at the Nevada state line. we cruised out onto the Salt Flats to make a Margarita with the salt on the ground, something i have always wanted to do...just because... We were going to stay on the salt flats, but on the way out there, i came across a couple that got buried in the salt right off the road, so i yanked them out and they gave me enough money to get a hotel room that night, so me and the wife decided to do it up in a nice casino.. The next morning we got on the road to head home! the Rest is history. The moment we hit the California boarder, we almost decided to turn around and just head north or as far as we could away from here. We did not want to end our trip. I know my wife has some more pictures that i will try to post. I am not a photographer by any means, that's her department.. so apologize for the crappy pics... most of everything i took was Video. Hope you guys enjoyed.
