Lets put it this way, I was so unimpressed that I nearly left the stock ones on. The only reason I didn't is the way the stock flaps are designed they actually have a "scoop" of sorts that traps snow, ice, and mud whereas the TuffSkinz dont. In comparison the RokBlokz I had on my frontier were thicker, a bit more flexible, and inspired more confidence.

So rokblokz over tufskinz? I think they might be the ones that say they won't work with the TRD exhaust. :(

Between those 2? Definitely RokBlokz 100 percent. That being said, I'm yet to see a mudflap that is a mud-flap. Seems all the options are so stiff. I actually liked my Outback's flaps a lot because they were rubbery and flexible like how mudflaps used to be. Lol yelling at clouds about stiff flaps like an old man

I don't want them flapping in the wind or not blocking debris tossed up by tires, so I think they'd be ok. I'm not planning on dropping on rock shelves either. I might just remove them for a trail that has that. It's just a few bolts/screws.

Well, I don't need my OEM any more and would gladly send them to you if you would like. (I remember you didn't want free OEM before, just figured I'd ask again just in case :p)

Also, the blocking debris thing. Funny enough, the rubbery ones work better because they dissipate the energy of the debris whereas the hard ones launch stuff by ricocheting(that's why the mudflaps on all the vehicles at the off road races I go to are soft rubber.) No exaggeration, between AT tires and stiff flaps on all the vehicles I've had I have seen rocks shoot like a missile back forward, straight up, to the sides, and launched behind. I also drive on gravel so often that I'm going to buy the same running boards my Tundra had after seeing how brutally pelted the bottom of them were after less than one year.

Appreciate it, but aren't good for the paint right behind the front wheels.

Yup. That's why my sliders got top plates this time.

No worries, I'll just throw them in the giant pile of all the other discarded parts from previous vehicles :D

You should be able to make a bit off those parts. Maybe take the sting out of the topper purchase?

Eh, selling in my area is tough and none of the pile is anything particularly valuable. Old sway bar, MANY stock floor mats, bumper end caps, that kind of stuff. Too lazy lol

@GODZILLA here's pics for ya. Like I said, looks wise they are fine, they just don't inspire confidence in how durable they are.

Yeah, for whatever reason they Rokblokz says the TRD pro exhaust is a no go on their flaps. I didn't know it was any closer to the flaps, but that's the only thing I can think of given the highlighted text.

So it would appear then that anyone that even had an exhaust tip added also could not run them? Weird

I'm not sure, because there might be an actual difference in the routing of the pipe on the TRD exhaust. It could be a bit closer to the flap than the stock system.

Well, I can assure you, as the sun will rise I will be jumping my truck once I get the leaf springs on to see how much better and or worse it feels. My guess is it might be a wash once the topper is on but there is only one way to find out :D

Yeah, they definitely are aiming for the filthy rich dude who just wants to have a turnkey street legal race truck with that astronomical price. I'm sure one day I will end up in a UTV, but along with attempting to keep a vehicle for a while I also need to focus more on a permanent living situation lol
