I walked in to CarToys on a day I shouldn't have and said "let's hear the baddest speakers you have" and about 6 weeks later I get a bill in the mail........

 

I test drove a crew max but that little bed just wouldn't work. Then I was ready up on them and you cant tow hardly anything with them either.

 

That's my next mod is all new sound system!!

My goals are different than many:
I'm not interested in sound system upgrades because I rarely listen to the tunes when driving, preferring to converse with my blushing bride. Plus I don't think this stock system is that bad.
I'm not interested in adding tint because I want to see as clearly as possible when out, looking for wildlife, tracks and game trails.
I'm uncomfortable with a lot of lighting mods because a large % of members that have them also end up with electrical problems.
I mostly want to be able to get anywhere I aim for AND get back.

 

Just got to wait a little bit. Dropped too much on the lift tires and wheels in the last week. Gotta recoop

 

My goals are very similar. A little more ground clearance , winch and I would like a locker in the rear. But I will say a true plug and play amp and speakers would be nice. I am normally by myself and like the tunes on.

I thought about adding a locker and consider the absence to be a significant engineering lapse on the part of Toyota.
However, the designed system seems to work well. I did some research and the concept is not new and it's effectiveness is contingent on the programming.
The HP of the tundra seems more than able to lose a little to the braking. I decided to wait until I had some failures in the field before getting the locker. Watch the stock Pro going up Hells Revenge at Moab (3 times). At around minute 12.

I can't imagine a locker on mine....I moved mine after a three foot snowfall here and the truck didn't even slip! The pure weight of the vehicle probably helped...but if your doing serious off-roading..locker is a plus.

Stock CREWMAX can't flex like that!!!! They'll probably break a hip

 

Their doors weight to much to allow any flex

 

Thats why the 2018 has sliding back doors like minivans
