None taken man, I haven't moved forward on it. They just contacted me because I was on the list. It's just good to finally see something on paper rather than all the other number roaming around the net.

Here's the Canadian pricing on all the models except for the hybrid versions and of course the Trd Pro which is only available in hybrid. Screenshot_20211119-175054_Chrome.jpg

Hopefully Toyota releases the hybrid and pro pricing on the 30th, this is getting a little long in the tooth

I have a 2016 with about 65000 miles. It is paid off and I have it fixed up the way I like. Because I work from home now, I drive less than 5000 miles a year. This truck is going to last for many more years. The new tundra is very appealing, but it would be hard to justify spending $65k+ on a new truck given my circumstances. However, I don’t mind spending that much when the time comes.

That article is junk, 1 salesman interviewed. Seems like click bait to me. My dealer has vehicles allocated that are not spoken for already, at Msrp

Well, I know that there are significant headwinds impacting the price of vehicles these days - the chip shortage, general supply chain issues, etc., but I am so pissed about the pricing that I'm now re-thinking my next move altogether. I had my '07 SR5 TRD Off Road 2wd since it was new and love it. However, I've needed 4wd since I bought it (just couldn't spring for it at the time) so I've waited ... waiting for the diesel that never came and then waited for a newly redesigned model ... FOREVER! Now that it's just about to hit the dealers it seems that pricing is just outrageous! If you own a late model Tundra, it's probably going to well more than you paid for it now because of the lack of vehicles. But, what was paid even for a '20 or '21 MY Tundra in the Platinum or 1794 trim has now increased by $20k!!! And that's just the non-hybrid model. While I can afford to drop $75k on a vehicle, I'm not that crazy or devoted. I'll definitely be re-thinking my options. I won't say that my Tundra (the 7th of 8 Toyo's I've owned) will be my last, but if may be my last truck. Time to revisit older models I guess.

The platinum and 1794 base msrp has gone up 7-8k not 20k and are a much nicer completely redesigned truck. There are cheaper options. You can still get a 4x4 for under 50k. And it’s still a nicer truck then the 2nd gen.

the automotive press youtube channel predicts that by Christmas next year things will go back to normal.
I don't see TRD Pro by then will get any discount off MSRP (Toyota deliberately limit the quantity of TRD Pros to maintain exclusivity), but maybe 1794 can get $3-5k off. Not getting my hopes up though, we still have so much pent up demand even if the automakers ramp up supply

Maybe more than 7-8 K considering I got 7 k off my 2020 limited in May of last year. Won't get that now for sure. Increase in price + 0 discounts = closer to 15-18ish

Sure you could argue if someone gave you your last truck for free then the price has increased 66k too.

Which TRD are you referring to? TRD Sport or TRD Offroad? If you mean TRD OffRoad, you will now get a whole lot more than Bilstein shocks and stickers like the current gens. The TRD Offroad does include upgraded wheels, but also, the Multi-Terrain Selection(MTS), Crawl Control, and an electric rear locker amongst other bits.

I'm pretty sure the only TRD package on the Limited is the Off Road. Sport is SR5 only, as far as I know.

After thinking it over for a couple of weeks,@65 -75K for a TRD Pro or a 1794 Fully loaded truck, I think I will wait to see what the new 2023 4 runner or the Lexus GX ??? has to offer. I already a have a reliable and trusty 2007 RCSB and a 1993 Toyota Pickup to do Truck duty. Maybe an American Prado will satisfy my Off-road needs.

For me it’s all about numbers. I paid 56 for my 21 LunaRock Pro. There is no way I’m paying 70 for a new tundra Pro. My Pro is paid for. That’s crazy. If I do anything I would go back to a 4runner Pro. I’m in the same boat with my 19 C7 Z06. I’m not jumping up to a C8 Z06 and pay 130 or 14 msrp. Especially when my 19 is paid for. I have friends and family asking me if I’m getting a new C8. And my answer is no. Lol.

Honestly.....once the pricing was released for the new Tundra it made it clear....my next truck certainly will not be one. I priced a Platinum Crewmax w/6.5ft bed 4x4 and a F350 Supercrew 4x4 Lariat w/black appearance package, 4x4, 7.3l gas motor, towing tech, and gooseneck prep...essentially an apples to apples comparison, and its a $1k difference. $66k vs $67k is a hard pill to swallow to go with a Tundra, considering I need the towing capacity of a Super Duty.

Idk about your area but I'm turning my pro in and am getting $66k. And I only paid $58k for it. I'm going outside of Toyota but the potential to upgrade cost could be smaller than you think .

Yeah I could do the same and sell mine for the same amount. I have no intention. Unless your upgrading to a different brand and need something else it ain’t happening for me. You know what that means to me. Been driving Toyotas my whole life as far as a truck or 4runner goes.

If I am paying 65K for a loaded Tundra then my options expand, maybe I can even get into a Ford lighting Lariat with the proposed $7.5K rebate. I use my truck mainly to go visiting National Parks and seasonally to get compost and garden soil and helping a friend or two move.

Unfortunately, unless you reserved within the first day or two, you would not be getting a lightning next year. Reserve now and you'll be looking at 2024.

I did put in my $100 for a Lighting but it was in November. I am in no hurry, hopefully when the chip shortage is gone and the dealers actually have discounts on their vehicles, I will get a replacement my older vehicles.

Only thing stopping me getting an electric is the range you can drive in a day. I often ride 400-500 miles at a stretch, and the optimum charge settings is only between 15% to 80% of the battery pack. This drops your range further before charging.

$60k for a lariat? My local dealer has a '20 Tundra limited used for $53k...

So glad I bought when I did.

So there are Ford forum dealers that will allow you to order a F150 for 3% below invoice right now. Since most dealers will sell a Tundra for MSRP, the price difference may not be that much between a Tundra and F150.

I would look into the rebates before deciding anything. From what I understand they're not cash rebates or discounts and just because it's 7.5k it doesn't mean everyone would get that.

Hopefully we can discuss our builds without someone coming in here yelling what a fugly pos the 3rd gen is.

Originally I wanted a loaded SR5 TRD Sport but now I'm not so sure.

I prefer leaner trims in trucks (no higher than XLT, LT, etc).

My favourite build of the week is the TRD sport with convenience package. A reasonable 50K.

I wish there was a way to add the pano view to the above.

If the Trd pro is over 60k I’m just going to the power wagon. It’s bigger, less mpg but so much more for same price.
