Looking at your one post, you didn't say that, however you could of stated it in a previous post and kept the logic going through the convo :notsure:. I agree with your response. It's gonna be tough to find sub 70 OTD.

This is when you know times have changed big time and 70k truck is the new norm. This TRD pro had only 3,000 miles on it.

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.

Its an all new truck in an inflated crazy market. While it would have been nice to have less of an increase, I would pay it just to get rid of the bed bounce that I have been dealing with since '06.

Me personally never have had a bed bounce issues in any of my 4 tundras I have owned. What I find interesting is that Toyota defended their stance in the c-channel frame and now went closed channel. Just like they eliminated the trans cooler on the 19+ but added it back in 22. To me the c-channel frame is a non issue because I am not doing what all the other manufacturers did to test the frames. Just like the big 3 tested each other’s 3/4 ton frames. The test were ridiculous in thinking that people will actually put their trucks in those positions or situations. If they did it would be very few will no I’ll effect on the frames. I remember the raptor videos of it jumping. They pulled those commercials quick when raptor frames got bent. Me personally I will stick to my 20 because I am not paying MSRP and see how this quad turbo v6 with 4 inter coolers, 6 fans to keep it cool, a all new 15 link rear suspension with supersonic adjusting airbags, an awesome Etune 50” screen, and let’s not forget the wireless and Bluetooth brushless flux capacitor that’s sandwiched between the engine and trans(that once again bring a oil cooler). I love Toyota but let’s hope that they aren’t sacrificing reliability just to keep up with the Jones.

So you're going to get the Ford 'just because' people like/trust Toyota more? Whom is this really spiting?

Found a dealer in the Northeast who is currently listing 2, 2022 Tundras on their website.

First up - SR5 crewmax, long bed. $47,115. Add in TRD Off Road Package, Convenience Package, and a few other things and the sticker hits $56,558

Link to pdf of window sticker https://www.atlantictoyotany.com/ap...MAAxADAANwA1AA==&make=Toyota&dealerCode=31166

Next up - Limited crewmax, short bed. $51,900. Add in a few things and sticker hits $57,163 - this does NOT have the TRD Off Road or Sport Package.

Link to pdf of window sticker https://www.atlantictoyotany.com/ap...MAAxADMAMgA3AA==&make=Toyota&dealerCode=31166

Hopefully this helps in getting a handle on what some of the different configurations, packages and accessories cost.

Local dealer where I got my 21 Lunar Rock TRD called me last week. They asked if I knew anyone interested in buying a used Lunar Rock for $70k. I told them if I knew anybody, I'd be selling them mine first! Ha! Crazy times. https://www.samlemantoyotabloomingt...ndra-trd-pro-4wd-4d-crewmax-5tfdy5f15mx011080

Trying to get my name on the list for the 22 TRD Pro, but who knows how much markup will be. I'd imagine my dealer will add at least $15k. No thanks.

I can't believe they are charging almost 600 for a spray on non skid bed liner on a composite bed.

That's the same price they were charging for a spray on liner on the second gens...

No kidding ! Obviously it's just a money grab. You don't need it. I had a 2011 Tacoma with composite bed and although a little slippery I never would have put a spray on bed liner on it. Right now I own a 2018 Tundra and a 2021 Tacoma. I bought the rubber mat for the Tacoma for a fraction of the price. That's all you need if you want anything. If you have a tonneau cover like I do you could even put an old carpet down if you think it's too slippery.
These dealers sure don't make it easy to buy from them lol

Line-x and Rhino both quoted me $700 in June, so I added it as an option for $579. It's also covered by the Toyota warranty. No brainer for me.

I got the impression from one of the Sweers interviews that it wasn't a full spray-in liner, it was a non slip coating for the bottom of the bed. It didn't make sense to do a full line-x, sides and all, on a composite bed.

It’s not overpaying if there is a high likelihood you screw up and then pay to have it fixed.

    A man’s gotta know his limitation’s.
