I WANT TO HUNT!!! I miss wild game on my table and in my freezer. Much better than any crap in the store. Wouldn't mind buying a steer or 2 either....from a rancher who doesn't use hormones.....

Bree, how or were you on your first kill! Did it change you? I know if it’s for food that’s like a feeling of necessity...still, I would’ve greatful for taking the animal’s life

I don’t see the point in killing something I’m not going to eat. I’m a meat hunter, but if I happen to get a trophy, I will get it mounted. I’ve taken 4 bears, 2 with gun, and 2 with archery...nothing went to waste. All were mounted in one form or another. I have a lot of respect for the animals I harvest. I always strive for a clean, quick kill. I won’t take a life solely for a picture or wall trophy...not my style.

Sounds good!! If only all who take their own meat feel the same, a few out for just the thrill or trophy...

I never got to go hunting with my dad. I did how ever help him with a deer once that he field dressed and brought home. Everything was used on the deer and we had some meat for the winter.

I don't agree with support hunting either. I believe if you kill it you eat it and use its body to help you (food, clothing etc)

I used to deer hunt every day from oct 1 to dec 31.

I lost interest in 2009. I have hunted a few times since but really just cant get back into it. This week is blackpowder week.
I enjoy seeing deer, but just have no interest in hunting.

Last time I was out hunting was 2015 IIRC. Think I posted a pic here actually.

It can be fun the reward can be great, and the grilling tasty if you have the drive for it.
