This might get me banned but after watching the video I like it. It doesnt come in black so that's a deal breaker.

By the way when did Elon become a stuttering version of Christopher Walken?

Can I just get the platform and the interior cabin and I'll finish the exterior? 2019, Blade Runner's timeline design.
Looks like I'll put my $100 down for the 2 motor AWD.

I've seen too much time in searched YT vids watching Musk interviews and the Space X lift offs. It's not that he's a genius but that he is DOING what people tell him he CANNOT do, with a monstrous R&D and engineering team and budgets.

Cold rolled steel panels that don't budge from a 15# sledge? Insurance rates will drop like a rock. Musk knows it's a truck for the overland crowd to take outback, it'll have charging panels ASAP.

No, the battery issues mentioned are bunk in cost/weight/resources issues. Yes, some animals are going to die in mining operations. Again, but we won't have US troops sitting on Syrian oil derricks much longer....

Vinyl wrap shops will go nuts just having 1 to bring in more customers.

My understanding is that every EV comes with a charging cable. It's slow, but it does work. If you want faster charger, you could install a level 2 charger. Charger itself is a few hundred dollars, but finding an electrician who is competent may be another story. But with time, this can only change.

I live in a rural town in PA. The nearest charging station is about 40 miles away. A local guy just traded in his Chevy EV for a Tesla EV. Having it towed to a dealership for a flat tire does not make sense in his case (I don't even know where the nearest Tesla dealer is located here. (Probably around 100 miles away, I think) Maybe I will ask him next time.

    A bunch
Tesla is not the only EV automaker. What Tesla is doing is pushing the bigger automakers to make changes. Toyota looks to be steadfast in the hybrid direction but they are constantly improving that tech. Ford and GM are being pushed to go heavy into the EV market. The F150 will most likely be the first marketable EV pickup. So while Tesla pushes the boundaries the other guys can make a vehicle that is marketable but not quite the absolute latest in tech and sell them comfortably. Without Tesla do you think there would be a Mustang CUV? Where I live and work hybrid is going to be top dog for a bit, but eventually EV will be marketable enough and will take over.

Yes, 4 years ago we bought a 2013 Ford C-Max hybrid. It's KERs (kinetic energy recovery systems) makes it almost 100% electric in town, WHEN you mind the pedal. This car is 7 model years old, and has paid for itself 2x over in fuel savings. Toyota has been doing the Prius line for almost 20 years now. The GM Volt a joke has an MSRP higher than the 1 motor Tesla CyberTruk!?!?! Toyota and Tesla; still eating GM's lunch and our TARP money!

That truck is ugly as fuck. I love it. I put my $100 down on the tri-motor. I really don't expect it to be able to be purchased until later in 2023, so I will be looking for an upgrade at that time. As the other two models will come out first, I will have an opportunity to look at it up close first and see if I want to spend the other 69800. If I don't, then I will just take back my moolah.

When getting detail supplies you will now have to go to the household chemicals aisle and get stainless steel polish.

After seeing the sledge hammer demo against the body I’m afraid of what happens to any other vehicle this tank crashes into while the driver is sleeping going 120mph on auto pilot.

I like the idea of the electric vehicles, especially for city traffic and driving but why do they all have to be ugly. ATLEAST the Tesla car looks good, but the price, damn. Why can't they look like this, the model GM built for SEMA.2019_SEMA_Chevrolet_E_10_Concept_001.0.jpg

When I saw the reveal the other day, I thought it was the most hideous vehicle I’ve ever seen.

Every time I read or heard someone bash it, it made me want one a little more.

I just put my 100 bucks down on a dual motor AWD. Would be the perfect replacement for my Inferno Tundra- everyone knows it’s me, so what the heck. Go big or go home!

a few other interesting points on the Cybertruck:

    6 1/2' bed
L track tie downs across the top and potentially slots in the floor
several inches of headroom for someone 6'4" and inches of legroom in the back for the same person
    35" tires
rearview mirror is actually a camera and not a mirror
suspension is soft in normal driving and rear squats under acceleration
side mirrors, regular steering wheel, self driving cameras etc all likely to be added

the more I hear about it the more I like it

oh, and just because i'm in the mood...

i'm all for cleaning up the environment and making the world a better place for future generations but...

is everyone recognizing the manufacturing process for the batteries? or any manufacturing process?
the shipping of those batteries to the auto manufacturer?
the shipping of the completed car to dealers and owners?
    the disposal of dead batteries?
the fact that you are consuming electricity for charging from a fossil fueled power plant?
all the thousands of employees on the daily commute to the tesla plant that are driving gasoline engines?

you want off the grid to prove your 'greenness'? get off the mf'ing grid. wind. solar. bicycle. feet.

i do what i can. pedal the bike to pick up take out. combine errands into the most efficient route possible. drive the truck only when necessary. led light bulbs. powering down unused electronics. keep the lights off in rooms that aren't being used. the list could go on.

I preordered a tri motor autopilot because I think it could be awesome, but if gas is still cheap in 2023+ when this thing comes out I'll just get my $100 back

Unfortunately, your pot stirring is of the old paradigms of thinking about vehicle and battery productions. Old magical thinking....

    LMAO.:rofl::rofl:

I think that the people raging about those of us not wanting one are missing one thing. We aren't saying that people can't have them, or they aren't neat. Just don't try to tell people you're saving the planet with it. I'm all for the free market and you buying what you want, but allow me the same courtesy.

Tesla batteries are not Lithium based units. Hello.........

187K deposit commitments, just a few hours ago. Ever work in the rail industry, where oil cars require $Billions to move fuel every day?

Last truck we'll ever buy before the T[tesla]1000 Baja Killer.

False. From Tesla's own site -> "...powered by Lithium ion (Li-ion) batteries. But here are a few things about our batteries you might not have heard. Our battery system – or Energy Storage System, as we like to call it – is comprised of 6,831 individual Li-ion cells."
