Talk me into ceramic coating

Awesome, yeah it makes a big difference, everything from looking great when clean, staying clean longer, and being a lot easier to clean. I love my coating, wish I did it even sooner.

Seeing this makes me so happy. It’s amazing the types of things that now make me so happy - see what this forum does to people.

 

I think it is relatively easy to apply. The money is in the prep and correction. If you don’t get a vehicle right out of the paint shop off the line, there will be at least a little bit of prep before it can be coated properly. My truck was a disaster and I’ve only had it less than two years and thought I took care of the paint. (Having black doesn’t help)

 

I just snapped this. It’s been two weeks since the coating. Haven’t even rinsed truck. This isn’t after snow storms rain storms and wind and debris all over the place. Glass.

 

Damn dude your black truck looks invisible. If your tire wasn't in pic I wouldn't have realized I was even looking at your truck in pic. I'd be like why is my man showing us a photo of his white fence, this is supposed to be truck porn. Lol looks great man.

 

That fence has seen it’s better days!

 

That fence needs paint correction and ceramic coating and it will be as good as new again.

 

I’m thinking of doing CQuartz on my daughter’s car this week, but I doubt I get to it. Hers is small, and will fit in my garage. Also it’s only a few months old, and MGM, so there won’t be as much correction necessary.
I’m halfway thinking of having a local shop do the correction on my truck before I put the CQuartz on. They’d do a better job than I would, and it will save time.

 

That’s my only complaint about CQuartz. I’m a pro-sumer, I do better work than half of the “pros”, yet, I can’t get the best product. I get it, but it’s annoying.

But Corey is a great guy and runs a great business...love carpro products and the CQ lineup. I use Reset for vehicles that aren’t even coated- it’s a great, strong, and safe soap.

 

I will report my status for ceramic because I am passionate about ceramic. I have Ceramic Pro 9H - gold (4 coats) and I can say I couldn't be happier. 6 weeks cured. Gonna cover up soon for winter.

There’s a local shop that will do the correction for 250-300 dollars. I can do the coating myself. I actually have three boxes of CQuartz at home. Before you ask, I had bigger plans when I acquired them. (One was free though.)

 

That sounds like an awesome deal on correction. As I've seen online and understand, the ceramic coating isn't very difficult insofar as you are applying in the right conditions. The hard part is the correction/prep, as you know. I may experiment on my wife's car but I sure as hell wasn't experimenting on my truck!

 

My truck is getting coated now with ceramic pro silver. I dropped it off yesterday and will get it back on Wednesday. I can’t wait to get it back. I will post pics when done.

I almost tried gliss to top the CQUK3.0 on a new mdx. Ended up not coating that vehicle for a few reasons, so didn’t try the gliss yet.

Hi Guys...I will provide one more update on my ceramic experience to help others.
After a 6 week cure I am going to put it down for the winter.
Here is my result after my first wash with ceramic soap and hydrosilex post.
I'm covering tonight and i wont take it back out until spring....
