Overwhelming majority of folks switch from Tacomas to Tundras, not the other way around.

Overwhelming majority also switch from double cab to crew max, not the other way around.

I personally have gone standard cab Tacoma, to access cab Tacoma, to access cab 1st Gen Tundra, to double cab 2010 Rock Warrior Tundra (would still have it if I would have gotten it in crewmax), and now on crewmax Tundra.

I would personally would choose an older model year with higher mileage crewmax over a newer / lower mileage double cab.

I had a DC Tacoma…the Tundra DC is much larger. Having two car seats in the Tacoma was hell. Two car seats and a small adult is quite comfortable in the rear of the Tundra DC. My wife has no complaints. We couldn’t even dream of that in the DC Tacoma…

If you need some room, can't beat the Tundra. I thought the Tacoma Double Cab would be enough but it is really tight in there. I switched a few years ago and it has been so awesome. Two growing kids and a golden retriever, I don't know what I was thinking getting a Tacoma, haha.
