Yeah like SDHQ said its just a different style connector that can be reused and changed if need be. now each pin on the connector will go to each accessory. but if that accessory needs to be changed for any reason it can be.

Sweet thanks for the info @renosauce & @sdhq_offroad
So you have to pin the wire and insert it into those connectors? I like the idea from serviceability stand point. Where can I get these connectors? I don't see it on sdhq as an option.

You'd be surprised at what we carry. Lets just put it this way, you could walk in here and build a race car off our showroom. Not many places that you can do that. If you ever are looking for a product, just shoot me a message and I will let you know.

The Switch Pros is good for some people, but I didn't feel like spending $500 and instead opted for $60 on a fuse block and $85 on a 100A breaker. There are lots of things to consider when deciding what to buy. The Switch Pros is convenient in some ways like: it has programming functions (stuff like flash or strobe), puts every switch on a single panel, and you get a Bluetooth interface. I made my decision for electrical control based on things like: I have numerous blanks I can place mechanical switches in, I prefer a breaker for mains protection, I can place a 30A load on more than one location of my fuse block, I'm cheap, and I may switch my current fuse block for one can supply significantly more power. There are many things to think about...

Switches (1-7) can run a 30A load, just run a micro relay. We do it all the time here. It also nice that a battery voltage cut-off can be programming so that if the vehicle is off, the Switch Pros will shut off before it kills the battery. Each switch can be programmed for ign only, power all the time, on/off. All really cool features like stated.

What size weather pack terminals are you using? What gauge are the switchpros wires?

    TIA

depends on the accessories.. all weather packs use the same terminals, but u canchange different size metal terminals in the same weather pack.. just depends on the accessories.

Out of the Switch Pros unit itself it is either 12 or 14 ga wire. I don't recall which off the top of my head.

I contacted SP and they told me it was 14. Thanks for responding.

Any progress on the engine bay mount for the module?

Will be available shortly. Actual product is done and in packaging. Working on install instructions and pricing right now. Rough idea would be between $25-$40

I'm getting a little off topic, but do you have an idea when / if the behind the TRD grill mount for the dual LED bars will be available? It's the one on project TRD Pro Tundra.

It would be nice to buy both the module LED bar mount and save a little on shipping.

As of right now, I do not have an ETA. I would say at minimum, 60 days out. They were confirming test fitment with the newer '18 grills and then it is queing them in line for production. They will get powder coated so that does add 2 weeks.

What do you mean by "switches are wireless"

I'm just starting to look at switches and am intrigued by a wireless switch idea

Let me pull this thread back out and ask for some advice.....

I've been running everything to my battery but I'm running out of room and it's starting to get messy under my hood. I need a switch bank and a way to minimize my mess.

I've been looking at Switchpros but am not 100% certain on how everything goes together. Does anyone have some knowledge to drop on me as I embark on my next phase?

    All straight forward brotha!
Big red wire to positive.. a couple other wires ground, parking light, and controller harness+add a fuse(through firewall) mount switches to desired area.. each of the read wires coming out of the main harness is controlled by the switch.
Just refer to the diagram to see which wire is which switch.

The “wireless switch” is just controlled through Bluetooth from your phone.

Sooooo, what you're saying is it comes more packaged up than the installation instructions look to say? There looks to be a ton of connections made, according to the document on the site. I don't mind doing it. I just want to know if it's an easy Install or will it take me some time. It's getting cold and I'll wait for warmer weather if it's an all day ordeal

The switch pros has 4 wires going to the panel / controller you run into your cab. One ground wire, one wire connected to an ignition triggered wire, and one wire connected to a illumination triggered wire. The last wire / cable connects to the + of your battery.

Then you have 9 more wires that you attach to your accessories. 2 of those 9 wires can be attached to one accessory that has a higher amp requirement (30 amps). The other 7 have an 18amp limit.

It looks like switch pros is coming out with a new system that is infinitely adjustable for color (control panel) and have more higher amp circuits. It’s due out at the beginning of the year.

All the ground wires for your accessories need to be grounded somewhere.

    Does that help?

these are easy to install and why i recommend them..it’s easier and less time consuming to install one of these for a customer then it is a traditional switch setup... the directions are strait forward.. and very easy to do.. just installed one tonight for a customer..Pro

Ya you got it brotha! I think the hardest part for me was getting the harness through the firewall.. everything else is easy. I would say it will take a few hours, depending on how many acc. you plan to hook up. Just refer to the diagram/instructions.

Nice! any links to the new release? hopefully the price goes lower on the older models.
