Agreed, it's all up to what works best for you as to where to mount the SP-9100 or the control pad. I just went with the SDHQ billet mount that is designed for the credit card slot because of simplicity, and since I have a sunroof there isn't much commercially available for that application. The custom made holders are cool and I applaud the creativity! After being on this forum my wallet is usually pretty light anyway and not good for much else but holding my drivers license. :)

Old photo. BTW, all that unsightly chrome stuff is gone now, too. Thanks again to this forum and AJT Design.

Chrome delete.....don't get me started. I have no idea why someone thinks a white truck would look good with corner chrome bumper.....
Still trying to decide what to do with it.....
My budget is pretty non-existing at this point, so all other projects just have to wait....not a bad thing, gives me some time to figure out stuff....

    Too many, but not enough....
This is the exact route I went too. Just finished doing the wiring from the switch pro to the terminal block. Need to mount to my fuse box next. I noticed there was adhesive on the bottom of the standoffs, I am assuming those stick to the top of the fuse box lid to block against moisture getting in?

Yeah, I think so but I still put a little dab of 3M Marine Sealant on both sides of the small holes I drilled just to be extra cautious. It's been completely dry so far but I really haven't been anywhere yet, other than typical Florida rain storms, that would get it soaking wet that far up under the hood. I love this set up and I'm so glad I went this way with it. I thought about it a lot because I knew I was installing an ARB Twin compressor next and considered the Rago mount for it, which are very nice. But those mount to the driver side sheet metal and then over the fuse box as well which would require you to unscrew the mount to access the fuse box. I decided to go with the PowerTrays mount for the SwitchPro on the fuse box lid so that I could get in and out of it easily. I ended up mounting the compressor on the passenger side with the SDHQ compressor mount. Then I had to figure out where to mount an air manifold to allow me to air up/down the tires all at once but I figured that out, too. There is only so much real estate under the hood and you have to clearly think it out and have a plan for future mods, and also ease of use.

That was a very nicely done piece sir!
I am hoping more vendor would hop on this, but I guess the market is not big enough as it is.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time considering control panel mounts and locations for Gen 1. I like overhead console. I really think a sheet of aluminum, 1 bend could be the best solution. (Cuts and drilling as well). I’ll have to mock that up. I did piece this mount together from 3 diff manufacturers. This could be cool.

I'm waiting on delivery of the PowerTray standoff version (mounted to top of fuse box). Did any of you guys get the circuit breaker option? You're supposed to mount them to the top of the fuse box (if you get the other style mount that goes behind the fuse box). Called them and they said you have to get creative on where to mount the CBs if you have the standoff tray. Wondering if anyone has tackled the location of the CBs? Admittedly, I haven't popped the hood yet to look for a spot. :spy:

I ordered mine during BF and the wait if 4 weeks, so yea, fun times.
But yea, I am also waiting for that to arrive, and am looking at a couple of options.
I have just gotten the bus and fuse block, and plan to mount on top of the fuse box until someone comes out with a Tundra specific body mount type....

I have heard the little blue bird tweeting about it, but until it comes out, or pre-order or beta what have you, I will keep my mouth shut.

I will fuse box mount first, then switch to body mount when it comes out, if it comes out. lol.

I'm a one-and-done on this. If it comes out before I get this one (month or so), I'll gladly have them switch my order to a body mount one. But I don't see myself dropping another $150 on a second mount if I get this one mounted up just fine to the fuse box. The only thing that'd make me switch is if I can't really find a good place to mount the circuit breakers.

I agree. And to be honest, a lot of people top-mount the fuse box and have zero issues with it, or with accessing it. So I guess that's a solid way of getting to it.
Now, the circuit breaker, not sure if I will ever need that..... only time will tell.

When you tap your ign and lights (tail for me), in the cab is the way to go on Gen 1. Has to be the same on Gen 2-2.5.
