I searched but didn't see much on this.
Got a good deal from Hotshot Off-road this BF and land me a Switchpro SP-9100.
Now the question is, where do I mount it? I know Tacos have the Power Tray that you can bolt to the frame just above the fuse box to keep it accessible. What of Tundra?
Any ideas or parts that anyone care to share?
    Thanks.

    Oh, I have a 2021 Crewmax SR5, in case that's any concern...lol

This is my setup. I'm still able to access the fuse box very easily on my Tundra using the PowerTrays standoff version with the SwitchPro SP-9100 mounted on it.

To secure the SP9100 in the engine bay I used the PowerTrays standoff version tray that mounts on top of your engine bay fuse/relay box.
    https://www.powertrays.com/collections/powertrays/products/switch-pros-powertray-standoff

You can purchase the accessory bundle for the terminal blocks and wiring or source them separately for a little less.
    https://www.powertrays.com/collecti...essory-bundle-for-switch-pro-powertray-toyota

There is also a circuit breaker option instead of the marine rated battery fuse version as well.

SDHQ has a mounting option that goes a different route altogether, this one was cleaner to me and allowed for more connectivity options for later on.

So just to make sure, you direct mount it on top of the fuse box, through the plastic?
I saw those standoff version, but was not even sure where they should have gone in the first place....

Yep, straight through the plastic top of the fuse box. It's plenty secure and doesn't even obstruct your view of the schematic under the plastic lid. Pricey, but a very clean and secure install IMHO.

Thank you. My friend's Taco had Power Tray and it was clean and neat, but his was mounted on the frame, whereas Tundra didn't have a dedicated set to begin with.
Time to see where in the world I can get this.... it's on pre-order and lead time is at least 4 weeks.

I have seen some mounted right by the driver side light.
Does the heat from the light create any problems, if any? Not sure if that's LED or the old Halo type....

And your mounting place, running it through the firewall, up through the driver side A pillar and under the headliner?

It’s an LED headlight.. doesn’t get hot at all.. temp is pretty consistent when I check it on the app on my phone.

and spot on with the mounting of the pad

I mounted my control pad on left side. Drilled a hole through for wires and four smaller holes for the mounting screws. If I ever sell truck I only have to replace the one plastic piece.

I used SDHQ mount under the hood. Easy access and out of the way.

Sorry for delay, I work nights. This is a night shot of under the hood with flashlight. SDHQ mount has it completely out of the way and makes it easy to run wires.

No worries. Thanks for sharing. That's mounted right by the front driver's light, correct? What mounting bracket, if any, did you use to secure it in that slot place?

With a 2021 SR5, I am torn between the little useless credit card size dent below the shifter column, and the lower left hand side of the wheel, similar to where you mount yours.
Using the space below the shifter column would use up a dead space, but more/longer wires to run to get there.
Using the lower left of the wheel would be the shortest distance needed, but I am not even sure if I have a space for it...

I saw one of you had the full set, with fuse box and bus bar and the terminal block, would there be a reason to skip and not use the fuse box other than it looks complete and nicer/neater?
My friend's Taco had the whole set (they have a bundle set making it easier) and he said he didn't even use the fuse box, other than mounting it just because.

I mean, it's not gonna cost a fortune to get the fuse box and load it up with fuses that I have no idea what of, connect all the wires and pray it does not go ka-boom....

I don’t have the extra fuse box as I don’t have enough lights/accessories to add it and don’t plan on adding that many things. Some have fridges, compressors, radios, and so on. I just have ditch lights, light bar, fogs. Lol. The switchpro has 8 connections so that’s more then enough for me.

That makes sense. And that really sounds like a complete off-road setup with the extra fuse box.
I did, however, maybe a year down the road, to install 2 additional AGM batteries in the back to use for when camping or stuff. Maybe 2 years.....God knows.

    Lots.
Well, I actually installed mine because I planned to use it and I already have already made connections to it. My thought is it reduces cable clutter and use of inline fuse holders and gives you a clean powered/direct from the battery fusible connection for items you do not want or need to hook up to your SwitchPro 9100 and monopolize one of the 8 slots. Like for devices that draw more juice than the SwitchPro can tolerate or things in the engine compartment such as under hood lights, etc. that you can switch locally without opening the door and going into the cab. I used one slot on the fuse block to connect my Midland GMRS radio that I installed in the center console as it doesn't need to be switched by the SwitchPro. It needs clean power so as not to pick up electrical noise through the trucks wiring and the manufacturer suggests that you run the wiring directly to the battery, so I ran the wires to the fuse block put in a 10 amp fuse and was done. It reduces clutter at the battery terminals and saves space at the battery for other items that do require a direct to battery connection, due to the amperage they pull, like my ARB Twin compressor or the bumper winch I plan to install very soon. I also can highly recommend the SDHQ billet battery terminals for making direct to the battery connections as they are a great improvement over stock terminals.

Thanks! Yea, I have heard great things about the billet battery terminals from SDHQ, I will look into that once my bank account stops complaining.....lol

I went with SP-9100 to de-clutter the wiring mess it "may" occur, since engine bay is the last place you want things to just "spread", and also provide a one-in-one-out solution into the cab while maintain low key.
I guess the fuse box can be added later when needed. I just wondered why some have it and some don't.
Thanks for your input on this!

I mounted mine on the passenger side. I made my own 3D junction box in the engine bay that mount on top of the connector junction box and machined a switch controller mount that goes onto the overhead center console. I also have a junction box (Amazon) on the roof for the roof lights.

That is super neat! nice 3D print (DOF will not approve that for sure, kids and cats don't mix with this)
You mount SP-9100 directly to the frame itself?

I mounted the SP9100 power module directly to the passenger engine side wall. I used screws and double sided 3M tape. It's not going anywhere, lol.

Here is my switch mount machined from black delrin.

Here is the link for the mounting bracket that I used. Power supply mounts to it and it mounts in space between driver side headlight and battery.

As far as where to mount your control pad, that’s personal preference. I like mine where it’s at so I don’t have to look down while driving. Just reach up to my left and push buttons. I actually use my credit card slot to hold my Ridge wallet when driving, it fits perfectly.

Right, I have seen a few mounted next to the light. Any reason other than not wanting to drill on the fuse box?

Welcome! It's a headache and a half for sure, but any ideas and photos sure put things in prospective for sure, and does give a good visual of what mine/yours will look like.
