I heard you have your learner's permit in Germany for min of 2 years. And cost about $6k. The price you pay to drive on the autobahn

I wanted to get a super Moto bike just to ride to work. My wife is not having anything to do with that. So it’s a no for me LOL. My mom was the same way with me, even into my 30s.

I told my mom once that I was going to join the army, I’m already talking to a recruiter. She said “the fuck you are”! Needless to say I don’t have a street bike and I never joined the military. Yeah I’m a mama’s boy.

My mom used to put me in a baby backpack and ride me to the beach on her 2 speed Puch moped! This is the early 80s but times have changed since then. My dad had a motorcycle and she rode on the back for years. My dad was in the Veterans MC Nebraska as the road captain. He rode until he passed. To be honest it’s pretty sketchy in my eyes to ride here in LA. I watch out for motorcycles but they creep up on me sometimes. Too many almost close calls even when you’re watching out for them.

I want another bike in the worst way. My wife said after we move south. I love to ride! But its damn scary out there. They don't see me in triaxle, let alone a Harley.....

Dirt is where it's at. I never stopped riding dirt, but now that it's my only outlet I'm kinda taking it seriously, which means it's forcing me to get into shape. That's a good thing right?

Just about! Probably more like 20-30 though. Chinese two stroke. It rattles itself apart. You have to bring a screwdriver and an open end wrench with you on any ride. Also don’t fill up the gas tank because it starts to splash out from under the cap. But it’s still a blast to shoot down to the liquor store on. In the summer we go to the beach for Fourth of July. I’ll drop everyone off and then go park the truck far away. Then my lazy ass rides this back to the beach.

I think it’s smart. Anything with an engine is better than walking or peddling.

Ha! I just dusted off my old pitbike from when I Road Raced, this has been sitting for years. This weekend my spawn got to experience this abomination. It's called "The Pit Bike of Death" because everyone that has ridden it, ends up bleeding at some point. I got it up to 60mph going down the front straight back in 2003 or so, full tuck, in leathers.

    He's hooked.

I like to see the evolution of some of these threads that take on a life of their own.

I've mentioned this elsewhere on the forum, but I bought my Tundra and a bike the same day from a friend of mine. I've posted plenty of pictures of my truck up here, so here's one of the bike. It's a 2004 Honda Shadow 750 Aero. I unfortunately, and very short-sightedly, sold it when my wife and I moved closer to the big city last year. I miss it more and more every day. It was an absolute blast to ride.

I just turned 20. i've had my license for exactly 3 & 1/2 years. I learned to drive from my older friends who would just say get in the driver seat and go... I was 12. once I had my permit my mom, older brother and I had driven out to Ohio from MA twice before i even went to drivers ed. In drivers ed. I had 12 driving times totaling up to 36 hours behind the wheel and 12 hours of spectating. half of my driving times were cut short because the instructors didn't know what else to teach me. they'd usually say to drive to my house then they'd drive the car back to the driving school. my license test took all of 5 minutes consisting of a 2 left turns, a three point turn, and back up 50ft in a straight line. we drove a 1/4 mile that whole time

When I was getting my CDL through a local school we would have the recruiters come and try and get us to go work for them. One of them actually told us that on one of their routes there was a road the gps told them to take. They would tell all the drivers this was a mistake but they still had a problem with the drivers ending up stuck out in the middle of nowhere.

I took my first job driving local delivering forklifts and man lifts and stuff. Spent 8+ hours a day driving a semi truck in a 10 mile radius to downtown Portland. Thank God I no longer use my CDL daily. Now its just for emergency situations.

Nice! The best one we had was a Western 11 LTL refer company. He was giving his speech and told everyone that they had a bunch of drivers making north of 75k. These guys get all excited then he tells them that sometimes you have to unload the trailer. Everyone gets an app and we go on break. He holds me and this other guy(Navy vet. that just walked out of his 100k plus pharma job) and says you two are the only ones I will hire. Nobody else in here stands a chance. I filled it out but never applied. I was determined to get a local job first. I only got my CDL to try and get into a lineman apprenticeship. But it lead me to three jobs including my current one and now I just need to maintain it.

I'm originally from abq, but I adopted Texas. So seeing breaking bad and different sights that I saw growing up was pretty cool.

    OUCH!!!
    Think there is enough SCREWS!!

Can u move your foot- on uneven ground??

I got a broken bone on top of foot- Doc took a piece of bone from heel and placed it in the void then used 2 screws and a “rod” to tie it all together
Don’t have any “cool” xrays yet- still need ones of “break” ( post them later)

Doc is already talking about a 2nd surgery with plates etc- somewhere done the road
    Just what I wanted!

Didn’t get to ride dirt bike last year because of rotator cuff surgery- this shit is really cramping my “style “ during my north east ridding seasons- can’t happen in winter!
