New owner with a lot of questions now that I have a place to ask them. With the TRD Pro the goal it seems is to keep the Fox suspension that we paid for. That being said, what it looks like to me is that the main ways to lift the truck are either with a spacer lift ie ready lift or a collar lift ie Westcott. I haven't heard a lot of bad about the ready lift but do hear that the collar lifts are better. This is where my question comes in....why? To the uneducated (me) it seems that with the spacer, I have lifted the truck up for larger tires and my shocks still have full travel. I understand with the collar lift the preload of the spring is used to lift the truck but doesn't that somehow take away for the full use of the shock/travel? I appreciated everyone taking the time to answer FNG questions :)

I did search and did come across that thread. Most threads I found talked about doing either of the lift styles but not a clear cut reason one over the other.

In that thread, you can see which members are running what, can always shoot them a message and see how the lift they used is working, and why they chose it vs another. Generally the members here are very willing to help.

That's why I asked the question on here. See why they chose what they did and for others to have that answer also.
