what is everyone using keeping in mind I'm from Canada so shipping is a bit steep and prefer to keep stock wheels without spacers. I reached out to coachbuilder and Westcott without any reply yet about stock wheels. Also with coachbuilder and Westcott UCA's are not required or should it be added.

Sorry in advance for all the questions.

I talked to Coachbuilder a month or so ago and he told me that with the +3 shackles and 2 shims in the front (0.5" thickness total), that you would be able to run a 295/70-R18 tire with no rubbing if you use a 1.25" wheel spacer on the stock 2019 pro wheels. The reason for the wheel spacer was the small UCA clearance from what I remember. If you call David he will return your call at the very least and was extremely helpful over the phone.

That being said, I'm thinking of using the CB shackles in the rear with the Westcott preload collars in the front. This should provide 1.5" of front lift and 1.75" of rear lift, which should basically maintain the stock rake angle. (I don't see .25" being much of a difference.)

The stock wheels can be used....the reason David (Coachbuilder) recommends wheel spacers is due to the fact that if you are "lifting" the suspension its for the purpose of running taller/wider tires...the stock wheels are a +60 offset and some tires are made wider than others (not all 295-70r18s are created equal) and can come very close to rubbing or even rub the UCA. If you call David he will definitely set you up.

I have not seen much on this kit. Do it consist of bump stops, diff drops, etc?
    Any pics?

Just got it put on about 2 weeks ago. Clears 35" KO2's on SCS 18x9's. Rides the same as stock. Looks great.

I'd happily do it again. In my book, it's the most cost effective way to clear the 35"s and not mess with the Pro suspension.

AND Jeff Westcott is great to deal with. I sent him a couple of DM's through IG with questions and he always was quick to reply with the answers I needed despite the fact that this kit is about the cheapest thing you can buy from them.

I went with the Westcott kit. Spoke to Jeff a couple times, had a great experience overall. The kit fit great and let me put 35x12.50 on my stock 18" pro wheels. My ride comfort and quality has not changed. Stance is great...literally very happy with the whole experience.

Everyone I know who's ever dealt with Jeff has had a great experience. I was referred to him by another happy client who says the same thing.

@trd.james The truck looks great. This stance and tire size is what the Pro's should roll out of the factory on.

I just saw this question too....it doesn't come with those components but that's because it doesn't need them. You should DM Jeff Westcott on Instagram and get on a call with him. He can explain in more detail than I can. But the way the preload collar and the shims work, it doesn't change the geometry enough to warrant a diff drop. To be honest, I got the kit and took it my local Toyota 4x4 expert, who I've known and dealt with for many years, and and asked them for an opinion. I figured they'd recommend throwing a diff drop on regardless of what Jeff said. Turns out, no. His opinion was the same, and they had installed the Westcott kit on a bunch of trucks (Tundras, Taco's and 4R's) for the last couple years. It was his recommendation for getting just a little better height and stance, and fitting 35's. That conversation made me feel MUCH better.
BTW Jeff, I believe, was one of the principal designers of the '15 and '16 TRD Pro suspensions for Toyota. He worked for them for something like 20 years.

Trying to decide between Westcott and Coachbuilder kit for my 20' Pro. Does the Westcott kit require a wheel spacer to clear the 35x12.50's??
I literally want this same exact tire/lift combo on mine. Looks badass btw!!

@ArmygreenPRO I went back and forth between those two choices for a while. Ultimately got advice from a local Toyota 4x4 shop who highly recommended the Westcott kit.
To answer your question, with the Westcott kit you will not need wheel spacers. I bought them and had them on hand because I felt like I’d need them (even though Jeff and others said I wouldn’t). I returned the spacers after the install because I clearly didn’t need them. No body mount chop, no wheel spacers, nothing but the Westcott kit and the 35x12.50’s.
Also..thanks! I love the Army Green man...your truck is going to look great riding on 35’s!

Thanks for the advice i've been sold on the Coachbuilder kit, but for $900 and then another $250 for spacers, and then tires it was a little rich for my blood but the Westcott kit makes much more sense now knowing the spacers are not needed. Thanks for your input and yes i want it on 35's asap!

Every coil/spacer lift you do on a tundra is affecting the suspension geometry the same. It just increases the angle of the control arms from stock.

however you decide to accomplish this shouldn’t affect whether need wheel spacers or not. The UCA is usually the spot that hits the tire, which is the same on both kits.

I suspect that different users are selecting different tires, which can have vastly different section widths and different side lugs even though the tire is the “same size”

@ArmygreenPRO Are you looking at KO2’s or a different tire? I don’t disagree with @Hbjeff above, that it depends on the tire itself. In my case, the UCA it not rubbing the 35x12.50 KO2 on the stock 18x8 wheels. I wouldn’t say there’s a ton of room, but plenty that it’s not ever rubbing.

I would be running 35x12.50 BFG KO2's so it would be the exact same setup you have currently.

With the Westcott kit what does he use for the rear shackle? Or is it just a front lift ?

@BrownieT The Westcott kit comes with a 1” rear block. You can use that, or toss it and use a shackle, or for a better ride you could even do an icon add a leaf pack to achieve the same the same stance.

Good answers already provided. I'll add my experience.
    18x9 SCS SR8 (+25mm offset) with 35x12.5 KO2's.
    No spacers. No rubbing.
Had to trim the front wheel well liner. Everything else is good.

Did you get any pushback from the tire shop about mounting the 35’s on the factory wheel? Some shops will not mount stating the the factory wheel is not wide enough.

No, I didn’t. But I didn’t go to a Discount Tire national chain either to get it done. I was at a local Toyota expert/Overland shop. They never even mentioned it.

Got it. I guess it’s more or less just finding a shop willing to do the mount. Thanks!

@trd.james How does yours drive after the westcott kit vs. before? Is it a stiffer/harsher feel when encountering bumps or dips in the road? just wondering if i would be sacrificing any driveability wise vs how it comes factory.

It’s THE question right? I tried so hard to find info on that beforehand. Even spoke to Jeff Westcott on the phone. Anyways, no, no change in ride comfort. It’s exactly the same. It’s worth noting that I’m on the same tires, just at a different size. I was on KO2’s in a smaller size before, and now 35x12.50’s. Not sure that matters, but putting it out there.
    My ride comfort never changed.

@trd.james Yes i called Jeff as well a few weeks back and was just asking him different questions but with him not driving one everyday i figured i would ask your opinion since you've driven regularly before and after.
