The blower makes it feel like a different truck. Cheaper than a new truck too. Looks cool too.

Just a side note. As soon as the weather breaks here in NY im going to spray the traction bars and all the brackets TRD red to match the tow hooks and TRD sway bars. 4ADF9338-3223-4C15-82DD-7F458E5FB5D3.jpg

Not many new trucks going to be able to keep up, short of TRX or modded Gen 2 Raptors, even Gen 3 Raptors is a stretch.

I’d love a shot at a TRX just for comparisons sake. They are a fair bit heavier than a doublecab tundra. I’m guessing they’re still quicker though. Plus if they did any mods at all, then there’s probably no chance. Even to hang with a stock one I think I’d need to regear.

Here is my experience. I don't have an ARF or boost gauge and don't know why some say it is a must have. I have a 2007 Tundra with the TRD (Magnuson) supercharger installed at a Toyota dealership in 2013 when the truck had 65,000 miles. It has the factory TRD tune. The truck now has 150,000+ miles and still runs great. I had issue with the cats on the left side throwing a code but drivability hasn't changed. I have always run 275/65r20 tires and aftermarket front shocks and springs. Everything else is stock. Maintenance on fluids as recommended. I have not had ANY issues with the powertrain ever. It is still as fast as today as it was 85,000 miles ago. By far it is one of the best mods you can do!

Has anyone measured before/after 0-60 or 1/4 mile times?

Same reason as having an oil pressure or engine temp gauge. Your truck is an awesome testament to supercharged reliability!

I've seen articles from when the tundra first came out, and I know a lot of people have logged their supercharged 0-60 times on the Harrop Stage 1 thread

I searched and found a couple 0-60s over there. Seems the range is high 4s to mid 5s.

The TRD Tune is notoriously rich with included Cat Overtemp Protection from the factory. (That's probably what lead to the drivers cat degrading, mine did the same)

It's awesome that your truck has been so solid.

The reason for an afr gauge is to monitor the trucks ability to be in the right zone with fueling.

Stock (while too rich technically) will probably be fine... But a lot of guys run other tunes and start adding pulleys etc. which can easily get into a lean condition that you won't know until it's too late if not watching the gauge.

I certainly agree that if you are adding performance parts like a smaller pulley, headers, or changing the tune then there is a need for AFR monitoring. What did you do to fix your cats?

    Terndrerrr
I only measured my 0-60 times after the blower. They have been pretty consistently around 5.3 for the better part of a decade. I use a Draggy for measurement. The launch style I find to be the fastest on regular surface streets is in 4WD high and Powerbrake to about 1200-1400 RPM. I don't know if I have ever gotten to 60 in under 6 seconds in 2WD. My tire just won't hook up no matter how gently I attempt to start. My truck weighs a bit more than stock because of the bumpers and other junk I keep in it so it is a bit slower than most.

I had headers without cats in the mid pipes that I was procrastinating the install. Lol.

So once my driver's front let go and was making noises I finally installed them.

Word of caution though, no car causes significant drone increase. I finally got it under control will Dirty Deeds and some heavy interior insulation but ifi could do it again I would have got the cats included.

I'm about to go the same route. What type of insulation did you use?

I also have no "before" times but just got a Dragy thing. On Stage 1 Harrop, I was able to get 1 ok run in 2WD at 6.2 sec 0-60 and 1 run in 4WD at 5.4 sec 0-60. Mine is a crewmax with some extra weight (2 kid seats in back, snow plow mount, loaded bed tool box and bed rack, on 295/70-18 tires).

I forget the brand honestly but I just went with an Amazon peel and stick black butyl, followed by a foam peel and stick, and then the heavy matt for the majority of the flat floor.

I did the firewall (as high up as I could reach) to and including the back wall.

It cost a few hundred bucks even with the cheaper mid price range stuff.

2019 Pro as well, I am awaiting delivery at the dealer to have mine installed. In the mean time looking at adding a tranny cooler. The towing package tranny cooler is not the greatest. Between the mountains in Colorado and trips to Texas, some towing, I feel it would be a bad idea not to address.

Any of you with a s/c added a tranny and engine oil cooler? I am thinking, although less seriously about an engine oil cooler as well.

    This kit is pretty good:

Curious to see what other folks say about the engine oil cooling.

That is the tranny kit I am looking at. Kinda not sure about the oil cooler side.
    Anyone added an oil cooler?

Saw this the other day. The tow package comes with an oil cooler built into the oil filter housing. Non tow package doesn’t have an integrated cooler. How great does it work compared to an aftermarket style, who knows.
