    We need more closure in this post than he and his GF do in their relationship.

    Speaking from experience, do not use a standard vacuum to try and suction out the sugar. I work with environmental remediation systems, mainly fuel, and things can go wrong in a hurry! If it was a diesel it would be a different story.

    If your GF isn't your ex by now then she likely has a pretty good vacuum on her... might want to try that out before towing it to the shop

    UPDATE: I appreciate all of your advice and I will respond to as many as soon as my truck is mobile. I cannot work without it, so, please only comment if your advice pertains to my relationship with my Tundra.

    I think that the sugar did not make it to the tank (due to the angle my truck was parked and gravity- in addition to the fact that the metal flap in the nozzle broke off when the sugar was being installed).

    The mechanic cannot see until Friday and due to the revelations mentioned above, I am trying to fix myself. I have removed 2 of the 3 hoses/connectors to the fuel neck nozzle but cannot remove the one pictured. Any advice on the removal of this connector is greatly appreciated.

    Well it's good that the sugar didn't get down too far. It's really hard to tell if there are pinch points to separate that connector. Someone here must have done this.

    I know nothing about sugar in a gas tank, but I've brined many things with brown sugar. Over time the brown sugar melts and becomes a syrup. I understand that the salt plays a big factor in that, but I can't imagine the heat of the day and gas vapors not having the same effect on it. There has to be sugar in the tank.
