Appears my 2022 Tundra with 21,641 miles could be joining the elite club. Issue happened Monday night. Toyota Roadside had it towed to closest dealership who has not done anything and I am without a vehicle. Concerned about the dealership as I have no history with them.

Funny, I saw a local Dodge Dealer selling the Eco Diesel Ram for $18,000 off MSRP. I don't trust Stellantis to have sorted out this Diesel. No wonder they are dropping the price so much.

So go from Tundra motor issue to Stellantis Ram orphaned Diesel? I hope you got an extended warranty.

All Ram 1500 now are selling at about 10-15k+ off msrp as they've got lots of inventory from 23 24 and new redesigned 25s are starting to hit the lots.

But yeah.. Ram small turbodiesel does sound scary as they discontinued them after trying to make them work and several revisions

I wouldn't buy a diesel unless you plan on ripping off the DPF and desmogging it if you live in a state that won't get up in arms about it. The increased cost in maintenance for diesels and increase in fuel price really doesn't make sense anymore the MPG increase doesn't really translate with the cost of diesel being so high now. It'd be cheaper to buy a couple year old gas engine'd truck, have a shop build the engine and trans out with aftermarket parts to support a supercharger and then there's your power.

Personally I'd take the rebuild and negotiate in an extended warranty for it. Drive it until just before the warranty ends and sell it if you still don't trust it, by then the issue will have a design fix if it doesn't already.

    Worry less and drive more.

Can you let us know the buy back looks like? Do you get a full refund for what you paid? or do they knock off some dollars for the milage driven? Just looking for some clarity.
