So my expectation on price is somewhere very slightly below 600.

I personally don’t feel qualified to know the difference between SPC vs TC vs Mevotech.

I feel fairly confident saying sub 500 is not on the table.

I’ve already dropped a lot on the coilovers so I’d like to top it off with something I can trust so I think I’m sticking with SPC.

The specifics of the situation, though, do open up some room for a small discount with enough interest. And I believe the number is at or near 10 participants. But it’s not a lot of sugar and there’s nothing in it for me beyond the small discount so it would seem we aren’t close to critical mass. Unless a wave comes along.

Hold on to your horses.ha! I recommend calling Hugo at @Toytec Lifts. He will be honest about SPC's on 1st Gens. Hugo would obviously like everyone to buy SPC's from him but Hugo is good people. The best. I wish he had the time to post here.

Keep us informed. I’d be willing to spend a little extra for zerks. I like smooth bj’s.

Yeah I was actually told to buy from Toytec. I can see that happening.

That pic I posted above....^^^^was the weekend before last at the Off Grid Expo here in Aurora. Hugo was there with his tricked out 4R. Hugo goes all over CO. I hadn't seen Hugo since pre Covid. He still remembered Manny. Ha! Group buys are great but you need to know what you are paying for. I don't have a 1st Gen so....I.....will....back....out...into....my....2.5 Gen....corner......

So I went with total chaos arms for my tundra. The way I understood while researching was the additional caster is built into tc arms whereas the spcs are more adjustable, I think?

if you went with spc’s you gain the ability to successful run those cam tab adjustment eliminators.

tc arms were way overkill for my truck but I’m a fan of overkill. My wife’s the sensible one and would be easier to sell on Spc’s then another set of total chaos lol

I'd stay away from Mevotech if their UCA bushings are anything like their LCA bushings which are complete junk.

Thanks @daveeasa, I'm very satisfied with the SPC's thus far and highly recommend them. They are beefy and have a wide range of adjustability. Also have the zerks. I wanted to buy from Toytec but they, like many others when I purchased mine, were out of stock and backordered. Summit Racing was the only place that had them available then.

Thats a sweet deal. If the pics are accurate it isn't the greasable joint, that might explain the low cost. Good deal still.

They are selling SPC parts, just rebranded. Appears to be from the older version. The bushings on these look to be pretty good, but I know the bushings on Mevo lower arms are practically marshmallows. You and three other guys on TS had them fail fast.

I bought the Eibach version for my last Tundra. They did have the greasable zerks and the arms said SPC all over them, just came in an Eibach box.

OK, guys, I have more info. SPC pricing is going up 11/1, sounds like a significant price bump.

This GB is open to 2007+ Tundras as well but at +$10
    Also 4Runner and Tacoma 2nd & 3rd gen.
    Base price (PM ME)

We need 8 in addition to my 2. I will cross post on TW as well. That's 8 serious commitments. Can we do it?

I'm going to move this to the official group buy section, will post a link shortly.

Link to legit group buy thread, let's kill off this one since I started it in the wrong spot anyway.

I wouldn’t pay $50 for anything from Mevotech.

Yeah, I didn't break the $2k mark in the truck slush fund until about 4-6 months ago, and don't like to get serious until I know I can plop it on the Amex and pay that off 20-25 days later. At least I'm closer to the next 1k milestone now, which, if I can get out of this damn remodel w/o dipping into slush, I'll put to good use. Still won't be ordering for another 4-6 weeks unless I see a smoking deal I can't pass up.

I didn't see the number above.

But scrolling back, I see you did tag me on this. Man. And I even replied. At least what I'm saying today is consistent with my words back then.

If you weren't so detail oriented I might have just bought you a set and waited for you to be ready. But you tend to be a little....shall we say.... picky? :)
