I have a line on an SPC UCA group buy and need fellow FGT’s to band together. I do not know price discounts yet. Can I get a show of hands if anyone is interested?

    @shifty` @FirstGenVol , @Desert Dog @Tundra2 , @assassin10000 , @Cummins3500

I’m guessing at least half of you are already set on this?

Would you maybe help spread the word though?

I’d be in for this if I didn’t have arms going on the truck already. I just posted it in the first gen tundras group on Facebook though. If I can get into my tundras solutions account, I’ll post it over there also

but I do have my wife’s sequoia that would benefit from a set

I think the magic number is 10 here? I think I’d be 2 and T2 makes 3 then cummins’ sequoia would be 4 and sir5 takes us to 5. Halfway there out of the gates.

Depending on the price. Unless it is really good I probably wouldn't as I just replaced uppers and upper ball joints about 2 months ago.

Let’s assume a meager discount. Non earth shattering. But below easily obtainable market value. We just need critical mass I think. Otherwise I’m paying $640.

So $211 is the price people want? I don’t think we have any hope of that.

sounds like scrap this plan and we all hit rock auto?

Are the mevotech the same as the spc? Are there any differences on tolerance?

my lift plans got put on hold, but they havent gone away.

Yeah I may just pay $640. Cause I want it done. I’m maybe in the minority wanting my lift and wanting it now. :)

My lift, if I lift will happen eventually. I am in no hurry. The RCLB may ride like an empty dump truck, but that's okay for right now.

Still interested to see what kind of discounts available.

I don't have a dog in the fight. If I were going for SPC, I would get on this regardless of the price. Any discount beats full price right?

The Mevotech makes it interesting, but you may or may not get the greasable ball joints with them. I don't believe the Mevotechs are $211 though, don't confuse them with the stock style replacement arms. They were $275 EACH last I saw, and back then it was the non-grease-balls.

Eibach appears to also be selling the same kit rebranded, and around $600. No clue if its greasable ball joint or not.

Why are other brands selling these arms? No clue. Why are they cheaper? No clue. Wheelers also sells Camburg arms cheaper than Camburg sells them for, no idea how that works. Somebody buy them and find another somebody with SPC arms and compare, post pics, we like pics, like a lot.

My SPC arms on the V6 were cheap. I bought them second hand from a guy that was going going put them on a sequioa, but wrecked it before he could install. Think I paid around $500 for name brand, greasable ball joint SPC arms.

So Mevotech from Rock Auto is right around $435 BEFORE shipping. With No zeros which is almost a deal breaker for me..

@daveeasa will shipping be included in group price?

Zerks would be nice but not a game changer. I have a neighbor down the street. Never have talked to him. Has a cherry 1st Gen. Drive by his place almost every day. We wave at each other. He's an old fart like me and must be retired. Always has a beer. Time to pull over I guess and talk to him. He might be interested in some SPC's....after I convince him to lift his Tunny a bit. He needs to join the forum anyways!! The 1st Gens are sweet. Keeping my 14 but, I'd get a 1st Gen before I'd get that new "lifestyle" Tunny!

So estimated slow shipping to my house from RA. $20.

Total seen above. Can the people that the group buy js coming from beat that, or come close?

I'm not lifted (just leveled slightly) and no plans to go further. So I'm out.

But anyone with 1.5-2" or more of lift should consider these if they don't have them.

Do these give more coil clearance in droop?

Is that for non grease-able units? I read the reason SPC switched to ball joints with a zerk is because they were failing prematurely. I wouldn't go that route.
