Any chance of y'all selling 2007-2009 4.7 Tundra mounts?

Forewarning, a lot of the 1st gens that ordered didn’t fit the motor side due to misaligned holes with no help or recourse from the vendor. Not sure if any of that has been corrected for the 4.7, might be a different case with your second gen

I'd just contact Amex and do a charge back if that were the case.

I've had to my memory one customer since about 2013 message me and say that a hole or 2 on the engine block plate didn't line up. Obviously there was no way for me to verify this as I wasnt doing the install. I took his word for it, however and re-verifed my parts with my laser cutter & the fitment on the weld fixture. If memory serves me right, the customer slotted one of the holes to make it fit, and was happy with the result. I can probably find the entire conversation if need be. I have sold hundreds of the 4.7 kits and to my knowledge there are no issues. Also, and this has been stated over and over - if your truck is tweaked from heavy off roading, or you had OE mounts that failed, there is a chance you may have a more difficult install as your frame perches could be bent throwing off the geometry of the new engine mounts. Mine use a non-flexy poly bushing. The OE use a spongy rubber puck that is extremely easy to bend & pry into place. But as usual, if a customer cannot get a part to bolt in, I would ask that they message me on here or email me and we can figure it out, thanks!

Unfortunately I never made a 4.7 mount for the 2nd Gen Tundras. The mount itself bolts to the block the same but I'm not sure of the frame side fitment since the 2nd Gen has a wider frame.

I believe I have shipped out 3 of the original GB member's kits. Sending out more this week. There have been a few late additions that will obviously go out as soon as possible.

You are next in line, will go out this week!

The transmission mounts are a later date as we are still drawing those on CAD and checking tolerances.

Currently building kits that were ordered on 10-4. There was a big order dump from the website that happened after the initial GB orders(the annual desert season order rush), so everyone that got in on the GB after that was unfortunately behind those website orders. But I am working as fast as possible to get to you guys.

Got mine. Look nice. Hopefully get a chance to install this week. Are guys really using red loctite on the bolts like the instructions say?

I'm still waiting on mine. I over torqued my engine mount bolts when I replaced my engine. Will do them when I do my front gears with diff out of the way.

tq spec for the factory mounts is 28lbft for the engine bolts and 58 lbft for the frame bolts, for the record

Quick update- have had the mounts almost 2 weeks now.

    • No noticeable change in vibration, except if I hold the wheel with two hands at a light and really pay attention. Asked the wife and she does not feel anything either.
    • No movement in the bolts after blue loctite and factory specs.
    • Truck does feel slightly more planted and ratio between engine output and gas pedal articulation feels more tight.

Overall- happy with the mod as a whole.

Got my mounts in. Little vibration at idle and lower rpm, barely noticeable. But it feels like the truck rides different than it did before the mounts. Small bumps and jolts reverberate through the whole truck. It's weird. Anyone else notice anything like that?

Is this your first experience with solid mounts? And are the bushings poly or rubber?

I had noticed similar, but our roads are thrashed, so it's hard to say regarding the ride.

    The bushings are Delrin.

Yes, having used solid mounts myself, I would say you're not experiencing anything unusual. They have different characteristics that sometimes can take getting used to. Apples and oranges.

    Awesome, glad to hear!

FYI, I recommend red loctite for bolts at steel/cast iron mount points and blue for bolts threading into aluminum mount points. Aluminum is not a strong as steel/cast iron obviously so thats the reason for the blue. This is explained in the instructions for anyone wondering. Can you use blue all the way around? Sure, but in racing situations we noticed that the blue turned very watery from engine block heat and sometimes allowed bolts to become slightly loose where as the red remained very thick and coagulated from engine block heat. DD and trail riding, regular offroading it probably isn't crucial.

We experimented with Delrin, and Polycarbonate bushings back in the day and the ride was just too harsh for the average driver to enjoy. They are a stronger material however.

All Solid Offroad bushings are polyurethane.

Thank you for reaching out, I wanted to respond on here as well. Sorry I haven't been on the forum in a bit!

This is not normal, for the truck to jolt or clank on bumps once the new engine mounts are installed. A little extra harmonics or vibration at idle is common, but should be smooth once at speed. The new engine mounts hold the drivetrain to the frame with alot more strength and stop drive-line rebound from torque & uneven terrain, so any clanking would be from something else loose or moving on the truck...something loose or worn out suspension/drive-line wise that is being exacerbated by the poly bushings as opposed to the spongy rubber of the old mounts. Also another thought is if you are operating in a very cold environment, the poly bushings could be "freezing" and really stiffening up causing more felt feedback from the road. Ive personally never heard of this from a customer, but it does kind of make sense as a possibility.
