Hey man bad ass rig. Im waiting for my 2.5 kings front and rear. I went with icon control arms. For the rear I ordered the dobinson 1.75 do you think I should return and get the 2.5? I dont want the rear to be higher than the front though. Also how did you install the boot for the shifter?

The shop I went with for the rear coils kinda screwed me. Get the 2.5. Thats what I ordered and will have to wait about 3 months. I'm installing helper bags for the moment until they arrive.

I just lifted mine with the Toytec lift which has the OME springs instead of the Dobinsons. Dobinsons has 1.75" and 2.5" and the OME is in the middle at 2". Toy tech has upgraded their rear shock from a Bilstein 5100 to their own Aluma 2.0. After reading all the same threads as you I decided to give it a shot and switch to Dobinsons later if necessary. Drove it (on road only) today for the first time and so far so good but will be testing extensively from unloaded to fully overland kitted on my build thread. (Here we go)

TBH I think its a mixture of the King fronts being super tall. Mark actually had to add a ton of preload out of the box because they typically give a ton of lift. He probably subtracted maybe an inch. The second factor is the incorrect coil. The folks at 88 Rotors swear that the OME 2863 Landcruiser coils have been used on a ton of their IRS Sequoias, and if thats the case I'm just baffled. I personally think they gave me the wrong stuff. I'm not a suspension expert, from what Mark @dcsleeper408 told me, despite the OME 2863's standing much taller than OEM, they weren't as robust so the 2" that it claims to provide gave me a puny 3/4. The weight of the ultraswing and spare tire is absolutely not the reason for the crazy sag as the first few photos are without the actual KINGS installed and just the OEM FOX suspension. Kinda wish now that I just kept the stock springs and added a spacer while I waited for the Dobinsons. Thing is, I think these 2863's did give me some lift. I'm debating on possibly running a spacer while I wait for the Dobinsons. Don't want to but screw it. I hate seeing the truck this way.

I attached the photos I took of the current height for each respective corner. The rear is approx 1.75" lower than the front, which already has approx 1 inch of preload added. Def. gotta add a spacer or something for the meantime. Hate the look

Love the bronze wheels with the green! You can’t add spacers to the springs you have now temporarily til you get the dobinsons?

The OME 2863 is ridiculously taller than factory. @dcsleeper408 said he had to do some gnarly compression to get the thing in there. A spacer might be an option but after some investigating, I think the appropriate spring should have been the 2864.

Good News Update! 88Rotors is going to send me out the 2864 coils at no cost. I just gotta send back the 2863 on arrival. SUPER STOKED!!!

Dobinsons 2.5 are still on the way tho.

My installer said the springs were a bear to put in. He's a pro and it took him 4 hours and it was sketchy as F**K

Very cool. You’re doing pretty much exactly what I wanted to do with a Sequoia except with cheaper wheels. I even bought a ADD bumper to go on for the Tundra front end. Alas, I sit here typing this Sequoia-less.

Also you’ve got guts putting Volks as a spare hanging off the back in the Bay Area.

Awesome build! I'm doing a 2013 Limited. Have front Bilsteins & Dobinsons built, 1.75 rear Dobinsons are on backorder, I paid for them in April.

    Love everything you are doing.
