Hey folks. Didnt event know this section existed. I'm somewhat done, or at least I think I am but we all know the mods never stop. So I sold my 17 Cement Pro Tundra because I needed more passenger space. I fiddled with the idea of getting into a 2021 Denali or Escalade, but I had to go back to my roots. Searched long and hard (NATIONWIDE) and took delivery of my 2020 Army Green Sequoia TRD PRO about a month and a half ago. I purchased it with 5,600 miles from a dealer in Pelham Alabama and had it shipped here. I've never been too fond of the front end of the Sequoia, especially since I loved my Tundra so much so I bought all the parts and will be doing the front end conversion amongst a bunch of other mods.

    Mods so far
    TE-37XT in bronze (5)
TOYO Open Country ATIII F rated (5) 35x12x18
    TRD front sway bar
    King Front shocks
    King Rear Shocks
    Camburg front UCA's
OME 2.0" spring (may replace with Dobinsons 2.5" or just slap a firestone airbag in there. Having a hell of a time finding the Dobinsons)
    RIGd Ultraswing Megafit
THULE Motion XT XXL in Gloss black
Custom Alcantara, carbon fiber & perforated leather steering wheel with Red/Yellow& Orange tri-stitch
4Runner TRD Pro Shift knob and boot
    Yellow Rigid fog lenses
    Lockerdown Gunsafe with electronic combo

    To Do
    Complete Tundra Front end Conversion
SDHQ 40" hood bulge light bar
Custom fabrication of a larger gas tank. (Such a bummer moving away from the 38-gallon tank and into a 26 =( )

I think that's it for now.

Suspension work and BMC were performed by non-other than @dcsleeper408 who has worked on every single Toyota truck I've owned while on this forum. (Including my recently sold Marty Mcfly4x4)

    Here's the eye candy.

I didn't realize the TRD Pro didn't come with a TRD sway bar.

Yea, super weird. But my 17 Tundra Pro didnt either. Whats even more odd is that some TRD pro Sequoias dont come with the TRD exhaust. Now that part that really kicked me in the N*ts is when I realized I was going from a 38gallon gas tank to a 26 :frusty:

I did the same thing o my tundra. Much cleaner and better-looking knob.

You can get any boot you want. I got it off ebay. I went with this guy
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/174662871410

I've wanted to do this forever. It was my mission to get my wife to trade in her Jeep so I could have the Tundra and the Sequoia parked side by side in my driveway, but she just couldnt part ways with that
    damn jeep. :puke:
My Pro that I sold a few months back.
    IMG_8167.jpg

    I didn't care for it.

All good bro. I find inspiration in specific cars when I do my builds as well. I just try not to look exactly the same lol. I just end up doing several "standout/ individual" mods to make it my own. The only thing I dont like about the color is the name.... =P. army is such a weak title. =P. #IYKYK. :fenforcer:

Just picked up the rig from Mark @dcsleeper408. It looks totally baddass, but theres a noticeable squat that I HAVE to correct ASAP. I absolutely need to find a set of Dobinson 2.5"s to correct the squat. I couldnt find a set so I purchased some OME 2" Landcruiser Springs from 88Rotors. They were definitely taller than OEM side by side, but it appears that they are not as stiff. What I really got was about 3/4 inch of lift. I gotta get an alignment cuz of the rear camber or also pretty gnarly. That may give me a little more height in the back, but nowhere close to being level. Still love the overall look. I just gotta find a solution for the sag. And removing the Ultraswing is NOT a option so shush

My thoughts. 1) HUNT HARD for a set of the DOBINSONS 2.5", 2). Install some Firestone Helper bags for the meantime (Only downfall is the bag will probably be bearing a ton of load which is not ideal)

Does anybod know of an alternative to Dobinsons for a rear spring?

Here's some pics. Don't cringe too much about that squat. It will get fixed. :pout::annoyed:

How do you feel about the rear IFS? I love the sequoia and would of
Bought one if they kept the rear solid axle.

is there any issue when payload is at capacity with the rear ifs, you plan on rear air bags etc?
    Sweet rig!

HA. You probably hit reply right when I posted my last comment. I wish there were more options for the rear suspension, but unfortunately I'm having issues sourcing an appropriate remedy for the sag.
As far as the IFS. I personally feel like the ends justify the means for me. What I wanted to a LARGE 3rd row that could fit a legit adult. That's why I went this route.

We proly did hit reply same time. I love love toyotas and their full size suvs. I love the sequoia body but what kept me away was the rear ifs.
Maybe a used clean sequoia will be me in the driver ls seat.

I researched lifting my Sequoia as well. After seeing all the threads on multiple forums where people that didn’t use dobinson and were disappointed or had severe bounce or other issues ,I decided of I ever did it I would definitely use dobinson

To my knowledge they are the only ones with a spec built spring exclusively for the 08-up Sequoia

There are other substitutes which could work, but lack the proper weight capacity or spring rate for our rigs.

I never lifted mine,as we are considering moving out west and will get a 4x4 Sequoia. No sense in wasting money on a 2wd rig

Yea, I reached out to @crikeymike. I'm praying he can part out a kit for me. Exitoffroad.com has them available in the complete Dobinsons Kit but not as a solo item.
