    Good question.

When I was young I really wanted to swap for buckets. Now that I have two kids I love the bench. But the center seat with only a lap belt isn’t terribly safe and the hump makes it a little tight. So my days of transporting both kids in it are numbered.

I do think the height of the bench armrest is better than the stock bucket console. But a sub box in the middle with a nice pad on top solves for that.

I think it was an option. I've seen SR5s with both. I've seen limiteds with both. What I haven't seen, is leather bench seats.

    My dude!

I don't know for sure if any limited DCs have bench seats, but there are SR5 DCs with them. @FrenchToasty has 'em. Most DCs have captains chairs.

We used to have one with a bench seat at work as our lot truck, loved that bench seat. Super comfy and loved being able to stretch out. Agreed that center seat isn't the safest but I'll rarely have anyone there, apart from my lady wanting some love during road trips :anonymous:

Huh that's good to know thanks
Haha what's up . Still not sure if I want a DC or AC, probably end up with whichever I happen to stumble across a deal for first :D

Haha that would be pretty cool Sunny :bananadance:

I'm thinking more along the lines of putting a wedge style camper on the back and making it into a road trip truck, but I could easily be enticed into LT

Hahaha it was quite the experience that trip, KOH was even better

@des2mtn I'm curious what you thought of that whole group. You can say you hate them, I won't take offense. Devon, the guy cooking, was a bit concerned that we scared you off :monocle:

No no no, I actually really liked the group and every single person there. Y'all are my type of people for sure. I'm naturally a shy cat and pretty quiet, so I know I can put off that vibe. I've been wanting to invite y'all out to Ocotillo again -- if nothing else Spring/ Summer will bring some mountain opportunities.

If you can, you should really look at Tundras 2 Sedona at Northern AZ. It's happening at the end of April and is so much fun; you're more than welcome in the Taco.

No kidding. I camped a lake bed away, maybe a 30 min trail ride away. I could tell which direction KOH was just by the dust bowl in the air

Really that’s awesome. I getcha though oh being shy, I can be the same way with new people. Thought you were a cool dude. I think that group might be done for the desert season after KOH, apart from maybe a day trip to Stoddard Wells.

Funny you mention that trip, I just came across it. I think big bear Kyle went last year right? I think I remember him moaning about trials out there lol. Been meaning to go to Sedona anyways :D
    How about pig fires

I've only been to Stoddard twice, the first time was in lieu of San G due to the fires. Fun spot but the amount of garbage is flat out sad. We went to Slash X and that was fun.

Kyle's been to T2S the last two years, there's a solid mix of fire roads and mild to difficult slick red rock trails. Huge variety of stuff to do and see. Sedona is a solid bucket list item even if you don't go to wheel.

Agreed, there's way too many people throwing out garbage there. That area is a regular spot of that group, just convenient for a day run since most of us are in OC. Also you can ride from Slash X Cafe back to the 15, that's a fun fast ride

Sounds great man. I've always wanted to check out Sedona. Is there a loose plan or anything for that trip? I'll start reading through that thread more tomorrow.

Don’t mind at all. I’ve been cruising Craigslist, Facebook marketplace and Offerup for a long time.

I’m picky, and it HAD to be a SILVER 2005-2006 Tundra Double Cab 4wd. Also wanted it in as good a condition as reasonable, nominal miles, SR5 (no limited sunroof or leather). Only thing I caved on was the JBL system. I would have preferred without.

I found it on Offerup 2 miles from my house. Firefighter with young family just bought a boat and needed a bigger truck.

My wife is awesome and didn’t flinch when I announced I’d bought another truck. Neighbors think we run a used car dealership with how many cars and trucks I go through.

I’m surprised the amount of people asking $10k + with over 200k miles. Crazyyy
That’s awesome, I feel you on the used car dealer. Currently have 6 vehicles and only 3 regular drivers, plus add the flip cars and things get crowded here hahaha

Not sure if it was this bad in February here but on CL the other day and saw an 06 ac going for 23.9, same price as a 16 dc on the same lot.

FYI posted on other thread: bought 2000 Tundra recently. Called Toyota and two local dealers about frame rust recall, all told me same thing: closed in 2012, no longer eligible.

Hit the Frame Rust thread linked on page 1 of this post. We've had members on here getting frames replaced as of a few months ago, so the dealership is either bullshitting you, misinformed, lazy. Take your pick. The one alternate possibility is, a previous owner of your truck already had it in for frame inspection and chose to have coating applied back in 2012, which closed your eligibility for frame replacement. They were giving owners two options: Coating or replacement. Didn't matter which option you picked from their side: Agreeing to the work automatically ends your eligibility for the recall.
