Sigh.. Why oh why isn't this 70S allowed in the US?

True for Land Rovers. Not for Land Cruisers. Probably the other way around - 95% made it home. Not easy to kill those things.

I had a guy following me (In my FZJ-80 Land Cruiser) through puddles at Silver Lake sand dunes a couple of years ago. He was driving a Dodge 1500 and I tried to wave him off but he went through anyway and flooded his engine. Not funny, but kinda funny. I tried to warn him but I don't think he liked the guy in the Cruiser telling him he couldn't make it. He's in in the video right at the end.

Diesels have it a bit easier if the snorkle is sealed. My 80 is a gasser so the big worry is killing the dizzy

One of the two door truck ones would be a weapon with a snow plow on it.

I've got an HZJ-73 from Belgium, so left hand drive. It is a mid wheelbase removable top model. Waiting for me to get on it. It will get a Toyota 12h-t inline 6 turbo diesel, pure mechanical no electronics.

I also picked up a partial HZJ-79 Cab to build a diesel pickup from. I think I have sourced the cowl, dash, and harness from a buddy in CO as well. This will go on an 80 series Land Cruiser chassis.
