The quality is top notch and heavy construction compared to the ones that came on my truck. The step is at the door sill so not much help with vertically challenged. But my wife and kids do not complain about them at all. Which means a lot because they tend to complain about almost everything else? Good luck. D1637AAAF-05ED-4BA3-BD19-E8BFF4DE1C67.jpg

I sent back a set of bolt on body steps and just ended up fabing up a set of sliders. I had a old set of trailgear diy sliders sitting around and used them. Worked out great, not as stiff as 2” sq tube but I wont be hilift jacking off these either. I was able to jack the whole truck up with them but with about 1/2” deflection. I also pushed them out a bit so they make a better step for my dog.

Those are nice, but $1400 is overkill for us non off-roaders.

I use the same Tyger steps you asked about/purchased. It is the second vehicle I have used them on and have zero complaints. Very sturdy, they fit tight to the body which I like and I can also clean off the snow with no prob. I actually don’t have any issue with the small logos either, the logo holes actually helps clean my boots during winter.

Not the sliders the protection steps. I think I paid $700.

I couldn't find the steps there anymore. I wonder if RCI discontinued them?

I believe they did. I spoke with them yesterday and was told that they stopped due to more people wanting sliders. Unless they were sold yesterday afternoon they have one set of dc steps left.

Should mention that I have installed at least 3 dozen sliders on various buggys and trucks. And by far this was the easiest truck ever. There are 4 preexisting holes on each side spaced out well enough to handle any forces. I used 1\2” grade 8 bolts with some flat stock cut down as large washers for the back side of the frame since the holes are oversized rectangles.

I also drilled out pockets for the rivets, which makes the sliders less likely to twist up. Cause I really didnt want to drill any holes through the frame.

I was considering getting them before I got the Rough Country's. Pretty good RCI discount going on too. Dang it.

Yes. They look a lot sportier than the OEM and still are beefy enough. I like the rocker protection, even if they are not true sliders.

The responses and reviews of this step and another Tyger, and others has been super-helpful. I pulled the trigger on a set of the Tyger’s and will post before and after pics after I install them!

All the options were good. I went with the Tiger’s because I seem to get the most bang for the buck. I am in New England, but garage the truck and keep ahead of any warning signs of rust. And Amazon had a small Labor Day discount and I applied some credit to get them for under 300 at the door. I think they look good.
I am laying down more cash for OEM LED headlights and harness from another member. My mods are out of control!

No problem. I’m debating the same. No tax plus free shipping is a nice savings. Plus the $20 cheaper price.

Something seems a little off with their site. I just put in my config for a crewmax and the search result came back with a set for doublecab... Definitely double check what you're ordering.

Edit: I checked the crewmax part number with what I ordered off Amazon a few months back and they match up.

Would you mind posting that part number?

The picture on their site shows steps that are a bit short it seems.

I see the Amazon part number is slightly different for a crewmax. The amazon price is the exact same as the tyger site for the double cab.

I noticed that on their website when I put in the order. They didn’t have the crewmax option, but instead, they had extended Double cab or something like that, however when I looked at the order, it indicated fits “crewmax”, but only in the description of the final order.
