    My wife’s platinum sequoia has the option to turn on/off the sensors and sometimes she turns them of so when I drive I almost run into something expecting them to alert me. She doesn’t like the noise all the time but I’ve nearly hit things expecting them to go off but they didn’t. But I also look at the camera almost every time I back up. But going forward up against a wall is where the sensors are handy I think.

    Not a damn thing! They are spaced far enough apart and have a narrow detection range. They work on sonar. You obviously backed into something that didn't get picked up by any one of them. Or if you're as old as you imply, you're hearing is as bad as mine and you can't hear the damned things go off.

    Which is why you should use your eyes next time.

    You were backing up slow? W I T H M I R R O R S A N D B A C K U P C A M E R A and still hit a tree? I've only backed into shit while going really fast. I hit a hotel once, wasn't drunk but was super hung over and wanted out of Canada really really badly. I was moving pretty good. And just kept going for the border, but drove forward... til I hit CT anyway

    Um... Texas as a single entity has the tenth largest economy in the world. Alaska has 750,000 residents. Texas has 29 million. Hell, Dallas County has 2.6 million residents.
