SCS Ray10 wheels 18x9

Well we are in a ray 10 thread........

 

Anyone running cooper discoverer rugged treck tires w these rims? I bought the wheels but now shopping some tires. They have a great Presidents’ Day sale on Discount tires. $70 off and 15% off on top of that if you sign up for their credit card.

 

Exactly but many have responded with factory wheels or other than SCS Ray 10 wheels. Thanks!

 

When i put the ray 10s on even more rub and"HAD" to lift the front and even the still had slight rub.

 

Just received them today. I only opened one. It won’t be till spring till I put them on with the lift.

 

Why??????

 

Don’t have the lift yet. Also need to find time to paint the bolts also. My schedule is very busy with work.

Is anyone ceramic coating there rims? If so what product are you using?

Griots auto products has a ceramic spray I use on my tundra and my wife’s SUV. I also use it on my black Forgeline wheels I got for my Corvette. Does a awesome job comparing it to the more expensive professional stuff.

 

I found a local powered coat guy. Going to stop by and see about the bolts and possibly my tow rings done.

This may not be the right place for this, but does anyone have any side views of their truck with these installed with no spacers and just a level? Just like to see how far the wheel/tire stick out of the wheel well. Also, what size tire you running? Seriously considering these for my truck.

 

I'm putting the gunmetal ray 10s on my truck on 3/10. 275/70/18 cooper at3 xlts with a 1.75 rough country leveling kit in the front. When it's done I'll post pics.

Seeing pics posted 275/70/18 and 285/70/18 should stick out about inch.

 

The shop putting my wheels on said the 275/70/18 should be about flush. The width of the Coopers is the same as factory, so the only change is going from +60 to +25. Not sure if that equates to 1 inch?

 

The difference between +60 & +25 should be about 1 3/8".

 

Without looking for the pic I seen he had that same size tire and it did not sit flush. Maybe it was not a full inch out but it did stick out further than the stock size because of the more aggressive off set on the SCS wheels. I prefer there off set. Hope this helps.

 

The SCS offsets are the exact same as the Method's. This is Tex's build thread link which is with the exact size and offset Method wheels and Nitto Grapplers 275 70 18's on stock height. Moe is correct as it appears to be 1 3/8" outside the fenders.

You're very welcome! He states only minor rubbing on full lock in reverse. That is exactly what I'm looking for as I don't want to have to change out brand new front shocks in order to lift the front. I'm going with Ray 10's with KO2's as they are almost identical in size as the Ridge Grappler's. I'm very hopeful it works out as perfect as Tex's.

Not sure what you are running for shocks, but I have 5100’s all around and the front set to the highest notch (not sure I am going to leave it that way). But like you I do not want rubbing and also want to bring the tire back in the wheel well a bit more than my current setup.
