I've had BFG KO2, Yokohama Geolandar M/T, and General Grabber X3. These Toyo's are by far my favorite.

Spare tire comparison. Yokohama Geolandar M/T 305/70/18 vs. Toyo Open Country M/T 315/70/18.
When I switched to the Toyos the difference was noticeable with all of the trimming I had to do.
Now to I just need to burn these down so that I can justify buying 37s.

Not an issue, just something to watch for during install. Only 4 of us have this set up, so doesn’t apply unless you are Matt, Joon, or Warren.

After having those 315/70’s for awhile now, would you say that it’s a good in between choice or just go straight to 37’s?

Yes and no. It's crazy how different each truck is, I'm amazed by people that fit 37s on MT. Offroading vs. mall crawling and wheel offset will be big factors. For someone that is currently on 35s, they have extra room, and just want a little more to be different the 315/70/18 could be a good choice. I had to do a fair amount of fender trimming with the 315/70 and still rubbed at full lock and compression, 37s would probably have caused some damage. Either way don't forget to adjust your bumpstops or you'll be blowing out your fender liners.
For a lot of people that want 37s they know they want 37s and no amount of logic and reasoning is going to stop them.

BTW I'm switching to 37s in the very near future, but I'm also LT so fitting them isn't as much of a problem.

Sounds about right.. we be hard headed and say F- it.

Or you use the more brilliant selective listening.. 20 people say you’re gonna mess your truck up moving to 37s, but 1 person with a mall crawler says “GO FOR IT”

I appreciate the answer! I’m in the category of having close to enough room (I think). It is wild how fitment can vary from truck to truck. I have an ss built front bumper and +18 methods currently on 35’s; no bmc needed but I plan on it for this next set. I’m not sure which would cause more of the issue, the wider Toyo tire or a taller 37x12.50. And being on 18’s I’m sure you know, several of the tire prices on a 37x12.50r18 are insane. That alone has been swaying me towards the 315/70 lol.

The 315/70/18 Toyo MT is a really good tire at an ok price especially when compared to the 37 prices. The only reason to be disappointed is if someone rolls up next to you with 37s and makes fun of your puny tires.
I'm dropping down to a 17" wheel, so the 37 prices are slightly better.

LOL that’s what I’m worried about... but my buddies that have 37’s have KM3’s so they are barely over 36” as it is lol. I appreciate the feedback man, hardly anyone is running that size for me to get any answers on.
