After I lowered the rear on my '07 the bottom of the bed would sometimes strike the drive shaft, I installed an Air-Lift kit and solved that problem. The bags also firmed up the rear suspension, making the ride smoother than before and I can still tow & haul if I choose to.

I think bags would be a great option for you.

Thank you sir. Aside from the 5160s in the rear and bags, do I need anything else? Shackles, etc? I’m looking at the following bags and compressor.

    https://www.amazon.com/Air-Lift-882...9&qid=1555423294&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1

    https://www.amazon.com/Air-Lift-259...423339&s=gateway&sprefix=air+lift+2598&sr=8-2

The price for this setup is the same as an Icon rear leaf spring setup.

That looks like a nice setup. I believe you do not need cradles with the Airlift but from my understanding they are highly recommended with the RideRite. They allow you to lift the frame without stressing the bags.
One thing I plan to do is replace the spring shackles at some point.
I’m running the same 6112/5160 setup as you and I’m very happy with the bags. 8-10 PSI should get you level and alleviate any sag from your 300 LBS extra. Plus with bags if you tow or add weight in the bed you can compensate with more air.

Any recommendations on PSI? Towing a 30-ft travel trailer roughly 7500 lbs! I bought it to help level the truck out and pull better...

Measure the height of rear without load and document. Add trailer and raise height to that level and you’ll be good to go. I would guess 55-65psi

I am getting ready to install Firestone air bags with daystar cradles. I have the Coachbuilder +3 shackles and am trying to figure out if they will work or if I need to add spacers or go to smaller shackles. I am 8” from frame rail to top of leaf pack. Thanks!

I had similar set up on my 2007 Tundra. I used an extended bracket to mount the cradle. I forgot the name of it.

You can also not use the cradle and bolt the bag onto the extended bracket.

I did add the Daystar cradles about 6 months ago. I really like them and I don’t have to worry about Discount Tire ripping the bags and I feel a little safer if I decide to off road a bit.

I have the same setup and did not have to make any modifications due to the CB+3’s.

Thanks guys. I would like to use the cradles for down travel off road and to avoid any bag tear potential when the truck is on a lift like BTBaker mentioned. Think I’m gonna install them and if worse comes to worse I’ll throw smaller shackles on the rear.
