The non group buy seems high for what it is. Or what is different about this one compared to the Fortin Evo?

 

I dont know. Its the one I got and it is plug and play. Also does not cut off when you open the door. I know also I have talked to JRT on the phone during his vacation when I had a small issue I emailed his web site about 30 mins before.

 

I had the MyCar installed on my truck and the idea is great but after my truck sits for a while when I start it with the app it sets off my alarm which is very annoying. They also programmed my keys to be able to start my truck and they have yet to trigger the alarm. 90% of the time I'm in range for the key to work but now that winter is setting I really hope they figure out why the app is causing that so i can use it again.

 

Our local Audio shop has Compustar 910-s and 920-s. Anyone have any experience with these? Can they be programmed using the factory H Key on my 2018?

Made a mistake got a remote start AND alarm system. Looks crazy complicated. Anyway I can just hookup the remote start?

 

selling mine. never installed. it's the warmcarnow plug n play version. $140 shipped.

I just don't have the motivation to fool with the install.

 

I reached out to these guys via eBay as I'm in New Hampshire and can pickup the kit opposed to waiting for shipping. The response I got was that there were no sales or discounts going on. Not sure what's up.

 

So i just bought the kit from Chris in NH with the drone. Its plug and play. But i wanted my factory keys to work as well. So i had to cut 1 wire and connect it. System seems to work great took me 30 minutes to install. I paid $350 shipped. If anyone has questions let me know

 

Is it possible to just unplug the wire from the harness or do you have to reroute the wire?

 

The wire needs to be cut and spliced in This disables the factory alsrm during startup.

 

I have the H-Key 2018 1794 Tundra. I bought the Fortin EVO-One from Tech12Volts.com for $209. Reviewed the vids on YouTube and instructions. Took me about 40 minutes. The long part was taking panels off in the cold without breaking any tabs, broke one tab. No biggy. I too had the Alarm sound off when i remote started the truck. I tried what @silverhack #61 statement said and it works just fine. I too didn't know about the 60 second Alarm sequence. Now I know. Time for a drink. Cheers to silverhack.
