I guess the info I got was wrong . But I was in Colorado springs couple days ago and two different tundra owner's I talked to didn't know and they download the remote start app and both the app and key fob started their trucks. One 18 and one 20

I got the information from TOYOTA NORTH AMERICA in San Antonio. Spent a long time on the phone with a couple different people. Apearantly they were uninformed also.
But it did work on two random trucks I saw in Colorado. Sorry about the let down guys.

Sorry for the old thread but did you ever find a fix for the steering wheel issue?

I have a 2021 TSS Offroad Crewmax and have tried remote start a gazillion times to remote start. Nada. Is there a clue in the VIN or anything in the software that gives a clue about remote start being added? Maybe a module hidden somewhere we could look for? I mean really, this is a feature worth knowing if you have it or not. I feel for the guys who went and bought aftermarket remote start units only to find they had it to begin with.

My 2019 Limited doesn't have it,
I'd like to see a video from OP, before I believe he has it.

I have the same version as your truck but a 2020. I think it’s only those who have a push button start. I hope I’m right as I just had an aftermarket one installed

I have a 2019 platinum. Definitely did not come with remote start. I installed the 12voltsolutions one and love it though.

I have a 2019 Toyota Tundra I bought last year that is stock. After being asked by my wife if the doors were locked, for the second time, I said yes and clicked the locked button several times to show her that the truck is locked. As we walked away the truck started and we were both blown away because we didn’t know there was a remote start. I tried to repeat it but can not figure how I did it. I e tried the three clicks of the lock button on the fob and also three clicks then hold but still can not get it to work again. It has a remote start from the factory but does not mention it in the manual. Winter is coming and I would love to have a nice warm truck/seat! Any ideas?

2019 didn't come with a factory remote start. Who ever owned it before you installed it could be OEM but more than likely after market. Easy way to find out is if you take off the panel where your OBD port is, it will have an OBD T with one open and the other plugged into the remote start module. Most remote starts are lock 3x, you cant press it too quickly though. another possibility is lock, unlock, lock.
