After searching through post threads, I couldn't find any posts regarding replacing halogen bulbs with Xenon.

Any suggestions and experience would be greatly appreciated.

Does the new owner thread have anything that helps? Maybe the 2nd to last bullet point from the "Lighting info" section, "THIS REPLY" link?

    Lighting info ...

    • Bumper/grille light bar options HERE.
    • To retrofit OEM fog, may differ by bumper style:
    • If replacing headlights, always buy "CAPA Certified" units to avoid garbage. For higher-quality brands w/CAPA certified options, get DEPO orTYC. Akkon or EagleEyes are also OK.
    • If you install LED headlights, it's common for your high beams & fogs to stop working. If you have this or always-on high beam indicator in the dash, add a plug-and-play resistor to at least one headlight. Problems were reported with LED tail/fog lights also, it's not just headlights. Some circuits need resistance LEDs won't deliver.
    • Hyperflash problems are common after swapping LEDs into the turn signals. One solution is the Diode Dynamics flasher module (avoid scAmazon knock-offs, buy direct).
    • There are H4 mini-projectors available for our trucks, but you must permanently modify your light housings, no oven-baking needed, just remove a hat-shaped chrome shroud inside, then install the mini-projector (detailed instructions). There are bake-in options for projectors. Check THIS REPLY for links to common upgrade options.
    • For interior LEDs... a breakdown of interior light sizes is here. For climate control lighting updates, see here. Dash gauges for earlier 2000-2004 models with replaceable bulbs, check this. 2005+ dash gauges had on-board LEDs, it's major surgery o change colors. You can sand the rear of the guage face for white vs. green. REMEMBER: LED lights are polarized. If you install backwards, they won't light up! Test after install. If one fails to light, try popping out, rotate it 180º, reinstall, test.
