Sorry, receiver is bent down significantly. Appears the hitch is also bent right at the ball.

That's a long skid mark (reminds me of my underwear). It seems to me she was surprised!

Sorry, about that bumper, man. Get a hefty. I think i will sooner or later.

Police measured the skid marks at 50.2’. Based on calculations she could have stopped in time within that distance if she was going 35 mph. She didn’t stop and hit me pretty hard. Wonder what speed she was actually going.

Expo 1! +1 to retain the factory hitch.
westin for the warranty, but we all know how that always turns out.
My vote stays with expedition one..

Question- were you trying to get any other benefits out of a new bumper? rear swing/more ground clearance/departure angle etc?

I know it is just matter of time with my commute in DFW area. I have 3 or 4 highway exits that I take daily that are real danger zones. Probably 2 to 3 times a week I use my hazards. I hate being last in lint and having vehicle changing lanes at 60 to 70 in the rearview. I have not been rear ended in 10 years or so which is probably a record for me. My 2004 Sporttrac got hit twice and I pocketed about $1k cash after repairs.

I have narrowed it down to Expedition One. Cleanest looking with reverse lights already incorporated into the bumper.

Call your insurance company first and have the delay in communication officially documented through your agent. Then contact the unresponsive company and let them know what is going on. Kindly let them know that due to the delay and the lack of road worthy safety equipment being installed on your truck that they will be responsible for paying the daily rate for the rental vehicle you will need to get to safely transport you and your family around. Additionally the rental has to be a truck since you utilize it for monetary gain. Ask them where to send the bill and see what happens.
