Rear ended tonight on the way home from work. Me and my sons are just fine. Might be sore in the morning from the hit

Glad you guys are okay. It always surprises me that you can drive close to the biggest thing on the road with brake lights right at eye level for the ones behind you and still get hit. I see you hit the tow hitch defense deploy button right before impact. Damn. Catastrophic for them, for you "I think someone might have just hit us?!?". I like the ADD front bumpers so I would say for the rear as well because this is a good time to get both and have them match if you don't have a front already. Lets turn this into a Xmas experience for that poor truck. Its been there for you and deserves the best. Merry Christmas.

Thanks man. Definately felt the hit but wasn’t bad. Turned to my 5yo son and said “ dangit we just got hit”. The look of horror on his face..... He so no way, what?! and started to cry. My youngest had a why are you getting out of the truck look on his face.
Getting a quad so can’t do a front at this time. Only the rear covered under insurance.

    Glad everyone was OK

I know this sounds lame, but have your body shop inspect the frame for damage. I had a friend who had the same type of accident occur with his truck and it did frame damage. The only problem was he didn't find that out until two years later when he went to trade it in and the dealership somehow saw the damage and couldn't take the truck in on trade and insurance was already claimed. So he had zero in equity. Sorry to go off track.

Glad you are ok. Yep, that hitch looks a little tweaked/bent down slightly, I would absolutely check for frame damage.

I’m a fan of the smittybilt bumpers for our trucks. Kind of similar to below. Kind of OEM but just a little more aggressive.

My first thought too. My Dad owns an auto shop. Hitting the hitch like that can easily bend the frame down.

Well I’m glad you and the little men are ok.

As far as the bumper, so many choices. I would find a front bumper that I like as well, for future modifications. :D

Glad that you and your boys are ok. Sucks that you have to find a new bumper now. Looks like from the pictures that the frame may be bent.

Do you think the receiver is bent also or maybe even frame damaged.
