do some digging on these... I feel like this was the one that had a lot of fitment issues, and build integrity flaws.. Shitty welds, rust, uneven mounting, etc.

I haven't seen that, but it's a great idea and looks like it fits good in another video.

I was thinking of getting one of those fold down steps, but I do like the GM bumpers. I'll keep an eye out for a used one.

I'll try it, but I think I'm going to use the Rough Country GMC bumper. I'm a RC dealer, so I'll get a decent deal on it. I'll post up when I get started and progress.

Right now I have LED pods cut into my OEM bumper that we bedlined. My son "helped" me back up to a trailer... Resulting in a big ass dent that incurred when he said, "you went too far", instead of "whoa, right there". This pic is "pre-dent"... I loved how it came out, but with the RC front bumper, I think it'll be a good fit. The front bumper gave more clearance, I'm hoping the rear will do the same.

Smittybilt M1 on the rear, and a cheap KO Offroad on the front ... as others have said, you get what you pay for. Next front bumper will be something that looks good AND is well made. The only thing I don't like about the Smitty is no good place to put your foot. And it's starting to show some rust ... probably have to pull it off and get it LineXed at some point (should have done that before I installed it)

@1BadTundra - which LED pods did you use? Looks slick. Did they mount flush? Did you tap into the reverse lights to trigger them?

I used some Amazon.con specials. I have ridgid up front, but for just aux reverse, these "nilights" worked great. They are flushed in, I tapped the 6mm holes to thread the screws right in. They are tapped into the reverse circuit, but also onto a switch, where I can turn all the reverse lights on from a dash switch. You just have to run a diode in line, so you dont backfeed the reverse circuit while in a different gear. It'll throw a CEL, trust me LoL. But it all works good now.
