Sorry I think my questions was confusing. I wanted to see would I be able to install an Engine skid plate if my truck did not have a skid plate from the manufacturer.

Is it going to be a pain to drill holes in my steel transmission skid?

I got excited when I saw the guards online and forgot to enter the discount code when I ordered them. I sent an email asking if I could still get the code applied to my order and Tim responded within an hour with a “Yes, I can apply the Tundra discount to your order”. That’s great customer service in my book.

 

If you are handy, drilling the holes can be accomplished with a drill and a step-drill bit.

Worst case if you never planned to remove the cat protection from the skid plate, you could weld it.

 

if some asshole can hack through your undercarriage with a sawzall, you can certainly drill a few carefully placed holes.

 

Something else I see on their website, it says these fit 4x4 models only. Assuming due to need for transfer case skid/mounting locations?

Not a problem for me, but may be for others. I recommend asking questions if your Tundra is 2wd.

 

For the ones who ordered, did you get a confirmation email for your order? Asking because I didn’t get one.

 

I have the steel plates but may order these cat protectors in aluminumumum. No sense in adding excess weight just for cat protection.
